Question about ketosis?

I just got those keto strips and i did the test and it showed over the highest point of ketones its like a scale that goes from pink to brown and mine are like almost black over 160 and the glucose test is non existant. is this a bad thing should i add more carbs to be in moderate ketosis or should i keep it this way. by the way im following kak`s CKD type of diet if that was needed. thanks for the help

Are you eating high calories on this keto? When I'm eating high calories on a CKD and have most of them coming from fats I show high keto readings, especially if I don't do much cardio. When I do low calories, I only show traces.

Also, are you sticks new? They have a finite life and after a while are not very accurate.
 
Eat a McFlurry and test it again.


I'm on Crumcake's diet. One McFlurry would put me at my daily carb limit. 90 carbs in one of those diet busting bombs.
 
According to Lyle McDonald you can't judge much by how dark the strip turns. You are in ketosis. That is all you need to know. If you feel ok then you are cool. Don't worry about it and do your weekend carb-up however you have chosen to do it. With time, judging by your fat loss, you can tell whether you need to adjust your daily fat intake to decrease your calorie intake during your ketotic (catabolic) phase. Be sure you don't get scared to eat carbs during your carb-up. You need that phase if you want to experience the anabolic part of this diet. I have been doing it for 3 months and love it. I can't see me ever going completely off of it now since I am an endo and it has worked so well.

Also what do you guys do about staying in Ketosis at night while sleeping? is it needed?
I find I'm out of Ketosis in the morning? Is this normal? @3g/day

My keto sticks are new

And my calories are at like 2200 down from like 3000+. How would i know if im not eating enough calories? Also im taking the NYC 2 tabs 3 times a day im going to rotate between that and clen 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. Now withthe carb up do you guys eat at like a buffet and chow down all u can or do you keep it on the sparing side? should i just eat veggies and fruit or should i go fo the gusto and eat bread rice and everything? thanks for the feed back guys.

ketosis is the point witch you deplete the body of all carbs,this forses your body to burn fat by turning fat into ketones witch the brain now burns for fuel.a great book to get for doing this type diet is bodyopus by the late dan dueshane.
