Question about job industries and dress code.

I'm currently in the market for a new job. I've been self employed for the past year. Before my self employment I worked in a conservative office shirt and tie atmosphere.

I'm looking to work in a less conservative industry this time. A type of office job where a beard is okay and a tie is optional. Does anyone work in such work places?

I was thinking more liberal fields like publishing and apple computing or something. Somewhere where hippies rule the day. Even though I'm pretty conservative in my philosophy, I'm very liberal in my hygeine and dress.

Refer to my Sig for dress code ideas for your new job.

If you work for a smaller company then they tend to be more lax on dress code. Usually business casual and whatever you want on Fridays.

My profession right now is ecommerce. My previous prefession was also E-commerce. They were a small company, but still emphasized business professional. I had no idea why they wanted a professional dress code since it was online sales and nobody came into the office except the UPS guy and people who mistook our office for someone elses.

I'm looking for a profession where a more casual dress is accepted. I'm tired of stuffy office bullshit.
