Question about JM Press?

Im doing JM presses tommorow
Just curious, how should these be preformed. they just look like lying tricep barbell extensions but with the bar in a diffrent place.
what should i emphesize or do diffrently to make sure i do them with the right form?
Also what does dave tate mean in the 9 week program when he says "work up to two sets of three reps"

And the thing that makes it difficult to explain is that everyone does it their own way. On the Westside Seminar Tapes they show 3 different Elite Lifters and they all have their own version of it. Its on of those moves that you have to feel before you understand it. Believe me I searched the web for almost a year trying to figure it out. When someone finally showed me the right way...it clicked right away.

Start with the bar...make moderate size jumps (in weight). You will do 2 "work sets" of 3 reps.
 
Wait a second, I think I get it now. Essentially you are pressing with the bar closer to your head? Or do I go back to the drawing board?
