Question about artwork copyright?

I'm looking for a part time job I can do from home. Well I came across a guy that sells drawings that are done by four different people. Well they are fairly cheap to buy so I was thinking of marketing them online. I was just thinking that if it was not illegal that I could reprint them and I wouldn’t have to buy them from this guy every time. Sorry, I looked all over and could not find anything on the legality of reprinting artwork. I really don't see how I could be held responsible for copyright infringement if I am not claming to have drawn this myself. Karma to those who help! Thanks!

You can't make copies of something and sell it. That's just like taking a newspaper, magazine, movie, music etc..duplicating it, and selling it for a profit. [edit] even if you don't sell it, you still can't copy items and give them away.

yep, unless you arrange for compensation to the artist.

So if I could redraw them myself would that be OK? There are millions of drawings out there that people have redrawn...isn't there?

Copying someones art even if you draw another like it is frowned upon in the art industry. Just like counterfetting is upon cash.
