The more I have read, the more I have learned about you....

Your a very strong person (quiting smoking) Your a very caring person (daughter/grand-daughter) You are doing wonderful things for yourself and for other people (posting). Never lose sight of that!

Know that I look up to you and could only wish to be as cool as you are at 40!

Maybe those tobacco farmers should start growing organic veggies instead of tobacco. At least they wouldn't be helping to kill people.

I eat the Health Life Flax & Omega3 bread - my body thinks I'm cheating but I'm not. I've always been a bread & pasta person and eating a piece or two of bread keeps me from running to Fazoli's & it helps keep me feeling full longer.

WOW...your smoke free achievement is amazing. I know so many people who can't successfully quit even with help from the patch, one day at a time etc. And given all the challenges life doled out to you earlier this year, it is that much more amazing that you've stayed so strong for a full year.

I'll celebrate your b'day with ya. Mine is 4 days later :arty:

.....and another 24 oz of water brings me to 80 oz so far. I hate drinking water.

Drink water.
Go to bathroom.
Go to breakroom & fill up water bottle.

Hmmm that gives "Dropping off and picking up" a whole new meaning. ;)

We all have our off days... You've had some stress in your life lately with everyone sick... I would just focus on keeping your health good, drinking water, taking extra vitamin C....

Getting back on that wagon with me hanging on to your coat tails (you have big muskles)

I'm not wearing a coat, you grabbed my dainties - good thing they're clean. ;) :FRlol:

Now get ya fins in gear Merm! :velvett: :velvett:

About that HIIT - both hips are sore but my right hip is really hurting. I can barely put weight on that leg today. The right hip has always been "tighter" or more difficult to get loosened up so I expected this to happen. It takes a while to get it to cooperate, always has.

I'm gonna take a hot shower/bath and put some "stop aching" stuff on the hips and then clean house, do laundry, etc. until it's time to mow the yard.

Breakfast
1 c Kellogs 19
1/2 c soy milk
AM supps
48 oz coffe w/splenda & ff creamer - I'm sure I'll drink the entire pot of coffee today.

Hair dye is on.....buh-bye grey (cleaning the bathroom while I wait)

Thanks ck! I opted to stop after the 48 oz of coffee & switched to CL & water. Yah me!

Took a hot bubble-bath, then ate 2 small bananas, then went out and mowed the yard. That means I have to take another hot bath later. ;)

I have soy pasta cooking and I'm gonna add tuna & diced tomatoes. Later this evening I'll be having a salmon fillet.

"Hi mom can you watch the punkin for a while? An old friend is in town blah blah blah blah for about an hour blah blah blah blah blah and if you could give her a bath too blah blah blah blah blah."

Teenagers are evil. They should all be required to go thru USMC bootcamp - TWICE!

Well I had some unexpected but always loved grammy time with the punkin for about 3 hours today. Gave her a bath & let her take a longggggggggggg nap before mommy came back to get her. ;)

I have a house full of "healthy" food and I'm not in the mood for any of it. Why? Because I have to cook it. It's times like this that I don't want to cook anything and I just wind up not eating or doing the drive-thru equivalent of a food fit. :worried:

I did break down and have a diet coke. I really wanted a coke so I went for the diet coke - and guess what - no migraine so far! (I used to get a migraine w/i about 30 min of drinking a diet coke, it's the aspertame)

On a happier note, I marked a 50 ft stretch of pavement with paint in preparation for windsprints that I been working myself up to do. I'm hoping to start them soon.

:bigkiss: ABSOLUTELY! :elephant: I'll even throw the PB out the back door before you get here. ;)

I bought a toaster oven today so I can take it out on the porch to cook on nites that I want fish. I can't stand the whole house smelling like fish for daysssssssssss. (My bbq grill is charcoal and I can't see using half a bag of charcoal & waiting 30 min just to cook 4oz salmon or talapia fillet.)

Since I now have a toaster oven & I already had a Foreman grill, I shouldn't have to turn the oven on or use the stove much at all. :garza:

I don't enjoy cooking but it's a necessity.

I'm not sure if this is a food fit or not but it was all I could do to resist everything chocolate and/or sweet while I was grocery shopping so I came home, smothered 2 low carb torlilla's with NPB & 100% Fruit Jelly (Blueberry) and rolled it into a mega PBJ sammich. Dang that was good!

Why does my brain keep telling me I need bad stuff? :worried:
I just kept putting my hand on my waistline (that's 2.5" smaller) and telling my brain to stfu that I don't need that shyt and I haven't shriveled up from the lack of it either.

Well congrats on staying away from the stuff that could be "BAD" because there sure are plenty of them to find while shopping for sure ;) Yummmy that little PB & J roll-up sounds pretty good right about now!!! Hope you are having a great weekend girl :wavey:

I *always* use my toaster oven for fish - it's just easier......I wrap the little tray with foil & bake a bunch for about 20-25 mins at 350.....Tilapia is good with salsa on top....

And I agree - the PB&J rollup sounds yummylicious!

awwww - there is no crying in baseball que!!

Though that dog is TOO cute!! Look on the bright side...you are one day closer to Friday again!! :bigkiss:

No & it sucks. I ordered a Trex/Neuro/Gluc mini combo to see how I react to Trex & I wanted to try the others anyway. (I'll try CB eventually)

Depends on the day.

I have to wear a belt now. ;)

Yes, I'm shrinking.

No, I need more arms or longer arms and the ones I ordered from "Limb Crafters" that match my kitchen cabinets haven't come in yet.

My point is, if you said you were stim sensitive, TREX may be way too strong for you, better option CB .. if you didn't say that, my bad... if you did, watch out ... :rose:

I have a full length mirror.

I don't own a decent digital camera. <<the problem

I bought a cheapo one but it doesn't have a flash and won't work unless you're outside in full sun. :finger: I had every light on AND had the doors & curtains open and still not enough light to snap a pic. cheap pos

applied YDF before going to the gym

Weights--
--Stiff Deads - 3x12 #40 alternating sets w/Plie's
--Plie's - 3x12 #15
--Sitting leg press - 3x12 #70, 1x12 #115 - PR! (never pushed that much #)
--Leg ext - 3x12 #70
--Leg Curls - 3x12 #55
--Calf Raises - 4x12 #50 - PR! first time I've pushed that much for all sets

Cardio--
--Elliptical - 15 min - alternating incline & resistance. I was soaked when I got done.

Q-Tip!!
Way to go with the PR's today

and you did em for 12 reps ... NICE JOB, esp on the Sitting leg press for 115!

Ahhh and the good ole cardio shower :) :verygood:

Question, how do you do your calf raises? Great job (another PR), but do you do them slow or rep through them kinda fast? If you pause on the extension, you let your calf muscle reach full extension, flex/extend/raise & squeeze on contraction ... I just want to make sure you are using your FULL potential of your calf muscles, where as the quick pulse reps tend to bring in ankle & not really hit the calves 100% ...

Great job today :)

Pr's make me smile, escpecially the sitting leg press cuz it's harder for me than the other leg press machine.

Calf raises - I go medium speed so I can mainain my form, otherwise my ankles get wonky. I hold briefly on the upswing and go down as far as I can w/o slipping off the footrests so that I can get the full range of motion. Shyt hurts which is why I do 4 sets for calves.

Not everyone is 98.6.
My "normal range" in the AM hovers at 97.1 - my temp has gone down as low as 95.1 - 96.5 for periods of time. It's always been low and only recently has stabilized.
The only time my temp is in the 98+ plus range is when I have a migraine and the temp and blood pressure skyrocket.
What is your blood pressure like?
If you know, what was your AM body temp prior to being treated for thyroid?

Have you been tracking your waking temp. for some time?? What is it normally?? Is this significantly lower than usual?? It could be a sign of a health problem or a sign that your metabolism is down.....

I've read recently that some people can have thyroid or adrenal issues but their "test numbers" are within the "normal" range. It was determined that normal for most people didn't apply to them and that they responded very well to medicinal therapies.

I thought about all the times I had the car keys in my hand, ready to go around the corner and get some smokes and then talked myself out of going.

I thought about all the times I wanted to trade the smokes for food but talked myself out of that too. I set a limit of 5lbs for weight gain and I only gained 2.5 lbs.

I thought about the fact that it wasn't easy for someone who's smoked for the last 10+ years to quit cold turkey and not cheat at all but I did it - and for that I treated myself today.

I know I'll be paying for my cheat day for a week or two but it took a whole year to earn and it was a great boost. I refuse to regret my decision. :rainbow:

Daughter stopped by work, said she was bringing the gran-punkin by tonite. I waited all evening and so far she's a no-show.
I don't mind missing gym time for my punkin, however, if I were to make plans and cancel them w/o so much as a phone call my daughter would insist that I be drawn 'n quartered. Pfffft!!!

Well I'm outta water so I'm off to the kitchen for more !

Sorry to hear that about your mom sweetpea. :rose:

She "can't" means she isn't ready to let go of her crutch and no amount of tears can quench her thirst for smokes. Some smokers won't quit because they are afraid of failure. Cigs have become their friend, their confidant, their lover and the 1 thing they can always count on. They think that being w/o them means they are somehow no longer "whole."

I had gone through all of the emotions and was ready to quit. I hope that she too can quit. Don't give up on her.

and thanks for the roses! :bigkiss:

Morning

I had almost the same breakfast, my favourite meal of the day.

I got my T-Rex and YES yesterday so i'll also be taking one today, I took one last nite, and while I had a most wonderful workout, I only got to sleep at about 2.00am. Its so frustrating, I really like taking the buzz pills to train, but hate not sleeping.

Have a fab day
