Quad injection??

I did my first quad injection and want to make sure I did it right. I used a 1in. 25gauge with 3cc's of b12. I went up about 6 in from top of knee and over about 3.5 from center of leg. Slid pin in slowly taking about 10 sec to bury it. Once buried I aspirated and saw no blood. Started pushing plunger slowly and then leg started to go numb. Maybe cause it was my first time and I was a little tense but I kept on going. When done removed needle and a fair amount of blood came out. Ran down side of leg and dripped about 3 times on floor. Is this amount of blood normal for a quad inj. or did I hit a vein. When doing glutes it is very rare for me to get any kind of blood after removing pin. Just wondering and would like some advice on quad inj. I did check out spotinjections.com early yesterday.

Spotinjections.com, Thigh site 2 is the one I would recommend. Sounds like you passed through a vein on your way in. It happens. But why did you put the pin in so slow? Just stab that sucker! I always tell people flex your leg. The outer quad where the huge muscle is, go right in the middle of that, unflexed of course. If you bleed, just apply direct pressure until it stops.

The only reason I can see for pushing the needle in slowly is concern that you are injecting near to a nerve. If you pick the good spots, this isn't an issue and you can just push the needle in.

I agree with dsh89: you probably passed through a vein, it happens. Having the leg go numb would be disconcerting. Was the B12 mixed with an analgaesic?

I've heard that some people psuh it in slowly because of the chance of hitting a nerve and then they can change the angle of the pin. I've been using this b12 for awhile now. I think the numb part was me being overly tense. It wasn't a big deal just wondering.

Yes, sounds good, don't worry about the blood, as mentioned you probably passed thru a vessel,

How does you quad feel now?

Doesn't even feel like I made an injection. It was only b12 though i'm sure the prop injections that I'll be doing in a few weeks will be a little more painful. Can't wait!

mmmm prop, luv it. Walked around the mall today for a couple hours like a gimp. It is safe to say i will be lazy tonight......

That bad huh? Have you tried doing delt shots for prop? I'm planning on rotating between glutes, quads and delts.

The blood is no big deal. I pulled out of a quad last week and had blood squirt in the carpet. When I put more than 2ml in the quad I can sometimes feel the numbing sensation that you described. Massage the site when you're done and walk around - the feeling comes back quickly :)

I can't seem to find the sweet spot on this cycle yet. I can usually find the perfect spot & everything goes very smooth in the quad. Last week my glute & quad injection hurt like a bitch going in. Anyone else have the crazy urge to flex their quad while injecting? I have always had that urge for some reason to tighten it up. Thankfully I never have, I bet that'd tear the hell out of the tissue.

Its really not that bad. I musta hit a nerve the other day or something, never that bad that i cant get around. If this is your first time using prop you will most likely hate it for the first couple of weeks, but give it time- your body gets use to the gear and pain subsides. Yeah, diffently hit the delts! great site for prop, likely my fav. I do eod inj. with it so i rotate, delts, quads, ass. If your doing ed you may want to consider others, but i would stick to these main ones to see how pain receps reacts. Oh and yes and..... its worth it, prop is a great drug. She may hurt like a dirty slut sometime, but its some fast acting and bloats minimal.
