So, I arrive at work at 8:30 a.m. yesterday and meet a lead supervisor (same level as me) and someone very high up in our organization.

The lead says in front of the big boss, "I didn't see you in the supervisor's meeting this morning at 7:00 a.m. we sent out an email yesterday ... ohhhhhh, that's right, you're weren't at work yesterday either"

The big boss replies, "that's okay ... I'm use to being disappointed."

someone i work with does that to me a lot. there's only 3 women in my company and one is the receptionist. The other is on the same managment level as me, and often tries to pass blame onto me. EVERY time i give it right back.
Boss will ask us both where the new product pictures are. She'll say, "i don't know, i had the product brought over to marketing at noon and haven't heard back."
and I'll reply, "I emailed you back 20 images at 3pm. Don't you read your email?"

I regularly try to demote myself back to the tech side of our biz.

The pay cut woodn't be significant, and there's nothing I hate more than babysitting adults.
