My current program for off-ice hockey training isn't working, I need to construct a program that works. Here's what I was thinking I could do, each day, I'm going to have a core lift for each muscle group that I will go heavy on (3-4 sets of 6 reps) and then a number of auxillary lifts that will have a 2 sets of 8 reps scheme. I want to train six days out of the week training each muscle group twice a week...
Monday Chest/Triceps/Legs
Chest/Triceps Core Lift-Bench Press
Aux Lifts- Flys
Dumbell Cable Press
Incline Press
Skull Crushers
Pull Downs
Swiss Ball Rollouts
Dips
Legs Core Lift-Squat
Aux Lifts- Lunge
Stiff-Leg Deadlift
Standing Calf Raise
Seated Calf Raise
Leg Curls
Leg Extentions
Pylometric Drills to finish
Anyways if I go on any longer i'll probably bore everybody to death, but my other core lifts would probably be Military Press and Deadlifts or maybe even Power Cleans, if I ever learn how to do 'em.
