Put em back?

Just curious,

How many of you religously replace your plates after u use em? Im just wonderin.

I always make a point of putting my weights back, but others dont.

If you're at a public gym, you're a douche if you don't. It's like those guys who load up a heavy ass bar like they're gonna lift it, but then just walk around, get water, etc. to give everyone time to see it but never actually lift it.

I hate that shit.

If you can load it, you can deload it. I have "politely reminded" more than one person to break the equipment down when they were done using it.

The worst are the guys that grab 100 or 120 DBs for whatever they are going to do to show off with, and then just leave them on the floor to roll around.

Everybody who works out with me puts back the plates/dbs where they should be after done. I just make sure they know right from the beginning that's part of the workout, burns more cals and it's polite :artist: as it is wiping the machines/benches after use and always carrying a towel. On a public place no one should ever have to put up with bad manners.

I almost died today unracking the leg press (Yes the leg press :rainbow:) when I was done. Nothing quite like heart pounding, sweat dripping, nauseous fun. It really is the last thing I want to do after a hard set, but I really hate people who leave plates and DBs laying around. I try to set an example for others to follow.

Dude!

I switched gyms at the turn of the new year. I have never seen such a mess. People have absolutely no idea. It's as if I am the one mixed up by racking my shit. The other day I walked in and saw 315 loaded up in the rack, nobody around! Leg press is fair game too! Some guys will leave 10+plates on it, for the next user, who is a 60y/o women. There are plates spread around everywhere! Even if you try to rerack, the storage pins always have mixed up weight. A ten stacked with a 35 and a 25 etc. Clear labels on the rack that say the # too. Signs, posted all over the mirrors - that say rack your weight! Nope, no one gives a shit!

You should see the tools that work out here. 9/10 walk around with a huge chip on their shoulder, in their cut of shirt and fingerless gloves.

always put 'em back.

one time this dumbass 45 year old who thought he was jumped loaded up 515 while i was squating and deadlifted it once. then left it there. i felt like going up to the homo and telling him to strip it down but he had already left.

so i had to strip all those plates.

If don't put em back you can't really lift it, IMO. The funniest thing to me is that the guys who really lift serious weight are rarely the ones who don't put stuff up. It is the curl jockeys that can't seem to put up a 60 lbs dumbell or tear down 225 from the bench.
