puking after intense cardio on empty stomach

fellow iron bro's does anyone get very nautious after intense cardio in da morning on an empty stomach? im thinking it may be one of these 3 things......... 1. i never ever have caffine and ive been drinking 2 cups of cofee before my cardio......2. i cycle jogging, walking, and sprinting as hard as i can in a cardio session i might just be pushin myself to hard on the sprinting parts........3. i always believed the myth cardio makes you small but since i added it i have lost bodyfat and maintained muscle with a very spot on diet which was key for keeping muscle during intense cardio bouts, maybe it just takes the body to get used to cardio...ive been doing it for 2 months. anythoughts fellas??

People who get nauseated from exercise have only a few reasons why:

1. Cardiovascular Insufficiency -- the most serious, but doubtful if you are an experienced exerciser. This is most often those that begin exercise regimens, those that are of older age, or who have a family history.

2. Hypoglycemia -- almost always in diabetics. The only way a non-diabetic person can get this is if he or she is taking medicines to lower blood sugar (or is a side effect of the medicine) or if he/she has an insulin-producing tumor, which is rare.

3. Vagal Nerve Effects -- some people vagal themselves down with exercise.

4. Lactic Acidemia -- the most common cause. The body produces an extreme amount of lactic acid, which can lower the body's pH into an acidotic range and induce vomiting. In addition, ketones can be produced, which can further induce vomiting. This is why insulin-dependent diabetic patients who develop diabetic ketoacidosis often present with vomiting.

I'd bet that the naseau is coming from a stomach full of coffeee. If I were you, I would eat something while drinking your morning coffee to help settle your stomach. If you insist on doing fasted state cardio, lose the coffee and see what happens.

thx fellas! yea i never drink coffee i just recently started cause i read about all the benefits. i only drink before my cardio every other day. ill prolly get used to it and im sure the nausea will go away

I'd suggest eating something small if you're throwing up, I tried to lift heavy the other day on an empty stomache.. maybe that's different or just retarded though.. I damn near threw up.. =/
