Ok...here are some pictures.

'1' is a picture of both knees. The arrow is pointing to the spot where it feels like I have less sensitivity than the other knee.
1.jpg

'2' is the right knee again showing where I feel tightness and pulling when I raise my knee. The most stress is right on the shin bone.
2.jpg

'3' shows me doing a PR on a knee raise without yelling or passing out...lol. It is the highest I've been able to raise my knee and not feel any pain since Monday morning. The lines show the 'line of pulling' on my knee with the dot being the main point of emphasis.
3.jpg

'4' shows me doing the same thing with no pain while wearing the knee brace.

Here is a pic of me and my girlfriend Nefi who says that if the IFSA-USA doctor doesn't fix me and tell me that I am going to be ok she is going to find him and show him how mean a 5' tall Greek woman can really be...lol. She looks so sweet...lol

Seriously though...I really hope for/need good news. I have better ROM today than I have had all week and I feel better about it. I still have a slight less amount of sensitivity at that one spot.

My plan is no walking events for a few weeks, no squats or clean and jerks. My bicep tendons might thank me as it is. I've been pushing my squats and sled drag a lot and have improved so much. The sled drag does put a lot of stress on my knees and quads...even in that area.

I can take bad news...I might hyperventilate and pass out...but I'll wake up and eventually take it.

I don't know anything about your knee, but I hope it's nothing serious. Seems promising to me that it's getting better.

PS......Your g/f is very beautiful......nice job!

I hope all is well but him getting a little range of motion back does not mean his knee is fine. When I tore my ACL I could barely move on it when it happened but the next day was up and walking and by a week it felt like almost nothing was wrong. I hope this is not the case. Good luck and get a check up if possible.

Ugh...is the room spinning? :(

I felt no pain for a full day. I am hoping that I have just bruised a tendon from the heavy squatting (with super tight knee wraps) and the sled dragging...

If I remember right you said you didn't feel any pain at all until much later on when you were at home. So I think that something like a bruised tendon might be very possible. I know when I hurt my knee I sure as heck felt it the moment it happened.

B, all the best with your knee. Everybody's got their fingers crossed and we're all right behind you.

I can relate to having a fiesty little woman (http://members.optushome.com.au/bsanti/surfclubrestaurant.JPG). She'd kick everybody's ass without being asked twice :D

Thanks man...I haven't actually been scared in a long time...till now. I try to be positive but it is hard to be. Every time I stretch my knee I nearly hyperventilate and go into hysteria...lol. Seriously...

Nefi is a wonderful woman. The water that she walks across for me is hard to imagine. Blows me away...

Beautiful lil lady in that pic there.

Yes...Nefi would whip most anyone. She just has some type of presence about her that commands respect among people. She has no problem telling someone off though...except for me. I saw her chew a couple of guys out in Greek because they had said something negative about me once...and they were honestly in tears when it was all over. I miss that woman...

B,

hey bud, man im sorry i didnt get where you said it was hurting. i hurt the same place doing the yolk walk at your house. even still to this day its a little tight. except mine never hurt to raise my leg up. mine only hurt if flexed at its max, like for a bodybuilding leg shot. i just took it easy and didnt do anything that hurt, and i have full rom. just a slight tightness remains which is in the same spot that v line on picture 2 or 3 is in. If thats the case, i think you'll be feeling better soon.

Well for 1 B, you have a great woman there, and 2 I hurt my knee a long time ago to the point I could barely bend or walk on it for the first week, it healed and I am completely fine without any doctor's help-not saying don't see a doc just trying to show not all is bad all the time. Stay positive.

awesome man...

as I told you before thats a very good looking girl you have

Thanks man...I got an email back from the doctor today from these pictures that I sent him...here is what he said:

"Clint,

The area you are pointing to is the pes ansurines (it means goose foot). That is where the semimembranosus and the semitendinosus (hamstrings) attach. I think the gracilis attaches there too. Anyway the pes bursa can become inflammed and painful. You may find that hamstring work or stretching is irritating. If it is pes it is no big deal. Ice and take Motrin for 10 days and it should be fine. Here are some things to consider:

ACL tear: loud pop accompanied by immediate swelling, usually the result of plant-pivot
MCL tear: less swelling, but severe pain on palpation of the medial joint line generally and usually the result of a plant-pivot or blow to the lateral leg
Meniscus tear: could be insidious, with a little swelling, accompanied specific medial or lateral joint line tenderness, may have incidents of knee locking or giving way
Muscle or Tendon rupture: lots of swelling and deformity, with immediate loss of strength and ability to contract muscle, with eventual loss of ROM

Does'nt sound like those, and based on your pictures and descriptions, pes is plausable. If it doesn't change in 10 days (after continued ice and Motrin). You might want to see a doc. Find a sport med/ ortho doc and use the fact that you are a professional strongman. They may give you professional courtesy (cut your bill.)

Keep me informed"

Long ago when I played football on artificial turf, I thought I had developed shin splits(could barely walk after practice). My coach sent me to the team chiropractor, the doc crack my toes, ankle, knee and hip and in a matter of minutes the pain was gone. The doc told me that my joints were bunched up and out of alignment. Maybe from all the heavy lifting your joints are compressed or out of alignment.......just a thought......hope you feel better soon.

Didn't have time to read the whole thread.. but i had trouble bending my knee a couple weeks ago....

Have you tried stretching the hell out of your IT Band?
It might be VERY tight if you havn't done a lot of stretching it in the past.. MSN me if you want me to describe how my doctor told me to stretch them.. its been working good... BTW he definitely knows his shit.. he is 5'11 215 ripped... not that size qualifies knowledge... but he is very into training, owns a worlds gym and is a doc... he wants ppl to lift :D

Well I hope by now you know what is wrong, I was out of town for a while and was shocked to read all of this. Keep you spirits up I know it is hard when you are not able to do much. I wrecked my knee a couple of times, the last time couldn't walk or stand up without a cage brace for about three months. Didn't ever have to get surgery but didn't like the rehab regiment either. Though I stuck to it and now am way stronger than I was before. Don't think of it as a calamity but a set back and all set backs can be overcome.
