maybe if south america was united into one country that would make sense.
but i've never met a south american who referred to himself as a "american"
the are proud to be colombian, brazilian etc.
usa peeps, on the other hand, commonly refer to themselves as americans

A war between Canada and the US would not even be a fair fight b/c the US would get it's ass kicked and only b/c every other country would come to our defense b/c the US is the most hated country in the world and we are the most loved............so really, who is the stronger country :-)

Why does everyone in the world want to come here? For freedom and a shot at making a life for themself and their family. Thats why we have so many people sneaking into our country and waiting list for people to come in the proper way. People talk but we ask.

Woot is a cool dude and not looking to fight.

We do protect EVERYONE in the world though. Everyone needs our help onetime or another. We do all the dirty work, good and bad. But we only get called out on the negative shit. We do a lot fo shit for other country's and no one says boo. I wish we could just leave other country's and say fuck you to them but we can't. Everyone depends on the US for something. Money, protection and sometimes both.
I think I could take Canada over in a weekend if I wanted to. :-)

I love my country, but it is all I know.
I love my freedom even though I don't agree with all the politics I get a chance to say.
I love that when things are their worst our people are at their best.
I repect a lot about this land.

MOST Americans are not even in possession of a valid passport so how on earth would they have a clue about how great/shitty their country was?

Oh yea... I forgot. That is what they teach in school and parrot on TV. What a freaking surprise that is.

How EMBARRASSING for "a super power" - that most of their population has not had the inclination to even see what life is like outside of their own borders even though most have the means? Why would such a great country so obviously limit itself? <--- just one of the reasons why I personally believe the US is not as mighty as it could be.

Nothing wrong with being proud of your country, but keep it real folks. Just straight up keep it real.

I haven't even been to another country besides Canada and am well aware that the U.S. isn't quite the country it used to be. Sure, there are more conveniences and technological/medical advancements, but as far as politics go, and where this country is headed, we may not be able to enjoy being #1 for much longer. Our future isn't being thought of enough, most general public attitudes these days in the states are me me me, now now now, everyone else sucks, have fun and let the chips fall where they may. It may be a product of our times, but in any case I hope these people don't have kids. We as citizens have a responsibility to at least develop a greater awareness of our current state of affairs. Only after that is it possible to attempt improving them.

I tried that once, had to come back because my kids were being abused. Been fighting for years ever since. As God is my witness THE SECOND I GET MY KIDS - WE ARE OUTTA HERE.

My sister is leaving with her family FOR GOOD in August.

See, we practise what we preach. We cool like that. :)
