There is a VERY LARGE anti-American sentiment just that most will not share them with an "outsider". Believe me, we talk differently amongst ourselves.
And Magyar Orszag was divided after first world war in the Treaty of Versaille, not in 1956 when the people tried to fight off the communist threat.

Yeah - seems like they would have figured not to go with the Germans again -eh?
I think most of the resentment people whisper about American's is from there recent actions - not anything related to WWII - imo
LOL I agree 100%.
The Magyars really didn't have much choice on who to side with in WWI or WWII. I mean they were once part of the Austro-Hungarian empire, were they not? And the United States was actually VERY COOL to get involved and help out the way they did... even though they were kinda late coming, they did come on board. That never enters the minds of modern day Magyars. We all have VERY STRONG resentment though, for how the US left us hanging in 1956, then add insult to injury by ANY AMERICAN perpetrating that whole "we protect the whole world" bullshit and I think you can see where I am coming from.
Every single anti-American sentiment is based on the unbelievable arrogance that (sadly for the US) is spewed forth from the most ignorant, most vocal citizens of the US. These people are loud, rude, beyond arrogant to the point where they are considered beligerent by many.
Who the hell wants to have "WE ARE MIGHTY!!! NOW BOW TO US AND KISS OUR AMERICAN ASSES - YOUR LIVES ARE OWED TO OUR MIGHTINESS" crammed down their throats? Especially when it just isn't true. <---- This is why ALL Americans are hated, because of a misguided, moronic and very vocal group.
*something that ALL Americans should think about.*
I know that not ALL Americans are like this because I have lived here for most of my life. LOL But the rest of the world only knows from the propoganda they hear and see, and from their experiences with this embarrassing group of Americans.
