Protein Factory's Big Blast

During my searchation before I bought some of this stuff I noticed that there werent a lot of recent discussions about it.

To give you some background, Ive been a muscle milk man since I discovered it. I couldnt stand the taste/consistency of old school protein powders (Designer, Isopure, etc).

Although I wont down a Big Blast whenever I have a sweet tooth (as I did with my mint chocolate muscle milk) I gotta say Im tremendously impressed with the taste.

I got the orange + stevia + glutamine peptides + vitamins/minerals. The first time I took it I made the mistake of mixing it with too much water and could mainly taste the protein. Once I mixed a serving with about 6 ounces, I got more of the orange taste going. Even with 6 ounces the consistency is not much different than plain water.

All in all, I would highly recommend it for anybody who was looking to switch things up. It may be a tad more expensive than the traditional powders, but for the quality of ingredients I believe its the best bang for the buck.

Great to hear it bro. This is one of those things that can easily sound like hype, but I have to say, there was a lot of thought put into this product and I honestly believe it is the best (and I do mean THE BEST) protein product on the market.

What else has super plasma protein? The stuff is light years beyond whey.

Personally, I'd leave the vitamins out and just use DX7. The reason being, vitamins effect taste and taste is important to me. Even if something is good quality it's useless unless it tastes good. And I fought to make sure that was the case with BIG BLAST. After putting together the formula I turned down 3 early versions because the taste wasn't good enough for me. We eventually settled on aversion that had a bit more carbs but in the end it blew everything else away as far as flavor goes.

Personal fav is Tropical Orange. Also outstanding is the chocolate, especially if you add a spoonful of cocoa to it and mix it with whole milk. Again, a little decadent, but MAN it's good.

I guess any person with an average IQ can understand that Big Blast is the best protein powder in the market. Just research about it and read the explanation from the creator, Nelson. With a little bit of more noise it would sell like rice. I am in a very tight economic situation that force me to keep buying just bulk average price protein but once I have the chance, I will replace it with big blast.

i have been making bars with the raw super plasma bovine powder. good stuff!!!

I got a 5 lb. jug of Big Blast coming in tommorrow. HAve researched and believe it is $$ in the bank. Can't wait. Thanks Nelson for your thoughts!!

Yeah, can you imagine if we had the money to do the 3 page ads in all the mags every month? Then again, then we'd have to sell it for 4 times as much! lol.

As is, it's just pennies more than a standard MRP.

By the way, I like Muscle Milk banana -- again, because it tastes good. But there's no comparison to BIG BLAST in regard to nitrogen retention. It's like the difference between a steak and a candy bar.

Protein drinks are just a convenient form of food. But BIG BLAST is something that will give results you can SEE.

I just wish that the super plasma protein wasn't $35 a lb. Or I'd buy a ton of it.

Yikes!

Dude, you don't need to buy it by the pound. BIG BLAST has a nice dosage on its own.

True, SPP costs. We basically aren't even profiting on the additional SPP but because of the additional expense the formula has to cost a LITTLE more. So it really is a bargain. But yeah, it'd be amazing to have a bunch of SPP, but without the BIG BLAST mix it wouldn't taste all that great.

how to make great bars out of raw spp. i do it by eye so i dont have measurements for it. its easy to figure out. a few batches you will be a pro.

raw spp powder
penut butter
honey
quick oats

mix it all up in a bowl, form bars, refridgerate for 5 hours minimum. leave in fridge until you are ready to eat.

it is a good protein, but Real Grape is the absolute worst flavor in the history of mankind.

I like the Fruit Punch one best... I mix it with fruit juice post workout. If I could afford it I would use it more.

LOL! Sorry bro. Never tried that one. Do feel free to contact them though. They want to know what the customers like and dislike.

It may sound funny but using BIG BLAST should be approached like using gear. By that I mean, it's not worth it just to "try" it a couple times off and on. Using it like an ordinary protein supp is a waste. To really feel the effects you need to use it consistently. Two servings a day, every day for a month and you'll know what I mean.

Is the SPP protein the main reason you like big blast so much?

Because if so, I may just buy a couple pounds of just that and add it to my current set up that I am really liking. Since I can do 10 gram servings and that is considered sufficient, I could make a long term use of a couple pounds.

I already use creatine and arginine anyways, so I don't need that stuff premixed.

The SPP is definitely a big part of it, but there's much more. First off, the creatine is P12 which does not degrade like other creatines.

Secondly, it uses dextrose and hydroylzed rice syrup as a natural sweetener which makes it sweet without adding too many carbs.

Thirdly, it uses Casein, Cross filtered Whey and whole egg. This allows for an instant saturation of protein and a slower absorbed protein making it a great recovery drink as well as a pre nightime anti catabolic. Whole egg is a very overlooked form of protein and the secret behind the old Blair Protein. Egg yolk may be the one food that is truly anabolic.

Add in digestive enzymes to make the most of all that protein, NO2 for increased pumps and the SPP, PLUS aminogen which makes ALL the proteins more absorbable... and frankly, you got a product like nothing else.

So you COULD take all these ingredients separately. But it would be a pain in the ass and no cheaper. Or you COULD stock up on just SPP but you'd have to add it to another (good tasting) drink.

It's your call but for most people it's more convenient and price worthy to go with BIG BLAST.

Is it ok to use if you want only dry, lean gains? it does seem to have quite a bit of carbs. I am very interested, sounds like an amazing product.

It was designed as a flat out gainer for those just interested in getting bigger, but some guys do use it as a meal replacement for lean gains. Creatine in general will put on a little fullness though the P12 is a LOT less bloating.

It's also the only PF product with a 100% positive review rating. http://proteinfactory.com/shop/product.php?productid=145&cat=0&page=1#tabs

BTW: Rick has been threatening to get it in stock. lol Maybe some requests will encourage him. : ) EF might sell it to members for an even bigger discount.

Im using this stuff 2-3 times per day in addition to the 4 regular meals Im eating. (Technically, Im following every shake with 1-2 tbsp of ANPB).

I dont see whats wrong with that at all. Im hoping itll go well with the var Im about to start in 10 days.

Everytime I order BIG BLAST for myself I go with 10lbs of chocolate flavour unsweetened, tastes great and I never get fed up, lately I tried ADVANCED MUSCLE GAIN and ANABOLIC MRP which are ok but I like big blast better.Have spent almost $1000 on protein factory products in less than 6 months and not a bit sorry about it.

Nice. Always glad to see somehow happy with the products and results.

Got the Big Blast a couple of days ago and tell you what, the vanilla flavor is good enough for me. The taste is wonderful and the mix is smooth. No clumps or powder feel to it. Everything is really quality. I have tried many proteins but this one is by far the most fullfilling and it just feels right. Yea, will probably tell its true nature in power the more I take it.

Just made a post praising this stuff in another thread; when I was on it I loved it. Tasted great, was a very effective weight gainer. I don't have the money to buy it consistently right now, but I'll be working more over the summer (I'm in college) and will definitely pick up 5lbs of it. I agree with Nelson about whole egg... a lot of proteins just use the egg white protein, which I don't quite understand.

In short, Big Blast = very tasty, effective, advanced stuff. Totally worth it if you have the $$

Just ordered my 2lbs of Super chocolate. Man this stuffs a bit pricey! 15.00 bucks for 6 servings. Is it the spp that costs so much? Eitherway, sounds great and look forward to trying out this protein.

The only EAS protein I liked was the strawberry. It was sugary but it did taste good. I don;t think they even make it anymore.

When will we who buy our stuff in UK be able to get our hands on PF products? Would love to try this and more important get my hands on more Unleashed!!

Just keep the prices down, ntbm supplements are a bit pricey in UK :worried:
