Protein Bars----meal replacement bars

Anyone know of any GREAT bars that are either meal replacement bars, OR just protein bars? One catch......are they low priced? Thats what I'm looking for. Cheap but high quality. Post the web address were you get them as well.

I need ones that are have at least 25 grams of protein, very low sugar, carbs range from 15-60.

Please let me know if you know of any :D:)

If you have any other health and fitness stores in your area besides GNC, go there and see if they sell them per case....most the time they will give you a good deal if you buy alot. The store I go to in my area is called nutrition forum. He sells me a case of the lean body bars (which tastes great by the way) for around 22 bucks. Thats alot less than you will pay at the gym. Hope this helps.

give me a price range, with bars it doesn't usually matter where u get em because they aren't marked up much, even at GNC, they are actually a little cheaper than a bunch of the other stores Ive been in

Under a dollar for 1 bar is what I'm looking for.......

I have been using myoplex low carb bars, and that shit is EXPENSIVE. 12 bars for 26$ usually. That lasts me a little over a week and a half. Not to mention the cost of my protein powder, supplements, vitamins, food in general, ect.

GNC is so expensive! I usually shop online, and I can find the same stuff for 1/2 the price.

For example, a box of 42 of the myoplex light is almost 100 at GNC, at vitaglo.com its less then 50.

GNC is a MOFO.

never seen any under $1 each- even when ordering direct from Nature's Best (Solid Protein Bar), Next Nutrition (Designer Bar), WWS (Pure Protein Bar) for the gym or my supp store, our cost is about $19/ box of 12 on these low sugar ones.

dpsnutrition offers some deals on +6 bxs.

not much help since you asked for under $1 each..... but would luv it if you will pass it on if you find a great deal! :D

i'd personally want to pay the extra money for something that doesn't taste like cardboard puke!!

i know i'll get flamed for this, but i'm partial to the meso-tech chocolate peanut butter ones... they taste the best.... and i can get a box of 12 for 35 canadian... (about 21 US)

a great tasting bar with 16g protein and 52g carb is the hi pro coconut STEEL BAR goto getbig.com for info-the company is in UTAH. for a zero carb chocolate bar, try the endulge bar from atkinscenter.com for a low cost bar, metabolift bars by twinlab are very cheap

Never seen anything under a dollar for Prtoein bars, if price isnt an issue, the Lean Body Bars from Labrada are pretty good and the Designer Wheys taste ok as well...

Wow thanks for all the info everyone!

When I get back from the gym, I'm going to check em out.

I'm not to picky of an eater, so taste is not a BIG issue :D

Under a dollar is hard to do, Ive been buying Bars for .25, mainly Simply Protein by EAS (I buy all the expiring ones at work, they still taste the same) The Mesotech Bars are good, but have 45g carbs, I get em for 1.29, I don't think you'll be able to get any high protein bars for under a dollar anywhere though, unless you buy in bulk. The best tasting ones are Pure Protein (Blueberry, strawberry, smore) Solid Protein (strawberry cheesecake), Nitrotech bars taste good but pricey. The atkins bars are nasty as all hell, pure chaulk, blah. Anyways, don't sacrifice the quality for the price, you should be able to get some quality bars for 1.50-2

Promax bars

Promax are the best tasting to me, and the numbers are just about what you mentioned as far as protein and carbs. The carmel crunch tastes like a candy bar to be, and the cookies and cream is great too. I get them at www.netrition.com , but I've seen them for sale in one of the gyms I workout in too.

I just found a good tasting bar-Tiger's Milk lemon merengue flavor by wieder. Also the fat burner bar and the yohimbe bar by universal are GREAT

hey jen, umm the other day i was looking around for the same thing, because i want cheap ass bars also. Went to gnc and they hand stuff that was expiring in a month or so. they sold me all these low carb bars for like 50 cents each. So i bought like 30 of em for 15 bucks, it was awsome.

Try Ebay... Bid from there. I've gotten GREAT deals just by searching for protein. Totally worth it.

Cytodyne's new Methoxy-Pro Bar has Methoxy, Glutamine Petides, Creatine and it tastes awesome. The PB has 30g pro. and 15g carbs

Personally, I think you should just buy a protein mix because you can get the same amount of protein in a more readily used form at half the price if you get a mix instead of a bar. Also, it's important to note that these protein bars have sugars you don't want. In fact, some of the low carb ones use glycerine (sugar alcohol) to make it sweet, but that's just playing with the words; in other words, they're using a "sugar" that isn't classified as a carb to make it sweet and call it low-carb. Not too big a deal, but all these things add up.

I used to buy the solid protein bars, but I went exclusively to the isopure mix now...it's cheaper & gives me instant energy.

Labrada is definately the best...

Well, either way, most of the meal replacemet bars out there are all pretty much pricey. Th best ones I have tried yet, seem to b made by ",Labrada." They are up ther in price(but they all run about the same anyway,...nt much difference)but, whenit comes to quality, this product is the best have used. Besides the fact that it is a great lean meal replacement bar, it eally tastes gret. I ean, I reallylook foward to eating them. They don't taste like cardboard when you bite into em'.(lol) But seriously, i would just go to Lee Labrada's site and see if you can order them directly from his site. Any other products are good, but why bother since labrada's bars really seem to live up to their claims, and taste good to boot. I mean there's no real difference most of the time between one bar and another,...they all run about,... give-or-take, the same,....and If you get a break, it won't be by much,..but personally I would stick with Labrada on this one. You do get what you pay for. I would buy directly from the man.

Good Luck...

I really like Pure Protein bars from Worldwide Sport Nutrition. They have the rations you want, and Iorder them from advnut.com. However, this bar is around $1.85 each if ordered in a large enough quantity. I'm afraid if you to try to go cheap, you're going to get what you pay for. Chocolate Chip and S'Mores are the best. Wish I could help you out more...

the best tasting bar out there is the LUNA bar...

10 grams protein
4.5 grams fat
24-26 grams carbs

it tastes like a rice krispies treat!

Jen

I noticed you are in Utah. Have you tried the Supplement Warehouse in Provo? I dont know how expensive/inexpensive they are..... From what I hear they have had Ultra Met MRP's there for less than $1 a pack before. 60 packs for 57$..... Pepole here at work who are on BFL love to shop there. Anyway just a thought.... I am in Provo but usually order mine online.

CYA

Optimum Nutrition Cocoanut flavored.
21g protien, 2.5 carb, 1g sugar, 5g fat. $17.95 for cs of 15. Mmmm - mmm!
dspnutrition.com

Cozmo...

Don't know... I have never been there. I know a lot of people from my company go there, they have been big into the BFL. I have heard they will beat any price here locally. But for my needs I usually order them from a friend at the gym who gets me stuff for the price he pays. I will look into it for you and let you know!!!
