Proper Injection

I was reading a step by step thing on how to give proper injection just to reassure myself and I understood all of it until I got to this part.








. Ampule



Hold ampule upright, tap upper end lightly until all the medicine moves to the lower end of the ampule.
Wrap alcohol wipe around the neck of the ampule, snap the neck away from you.
Put the top and alcohol wipe in the Sharps container.
Insert needle into the medicine and keep the needle below the fluid level while withdrawing the proper amount.
Check for bubbles by taking the needle out of the ampule, turn the syringe so the needle is facing up (see Diagram A) so bubbles flow to the top of the syringe.
Pull back on the plunger slightly to pull any medicine in the needle into the syringe, and then push gently on the plunger until all air leaves the syringe.
Check for correct volume in the syringe.


It doesnt make any sense to me becuz it already told me in the step before the right way to draw the stuff out of the vial and everything. So that step to me doesnt make a whole lot of sense. Is there a better site? I mean I know injections arent rocket science but I just wanna be really sanitary about it.

That is talking about a single dose ampoule. A vial is multi-dose.

what i like doing is to take the upper part and put it inbetween my palms and roll it around for like 10 seconds. this will produce heat and then i hold it in my hand and snap the top with my thumb like a pencil. like i am giving a thumbs up to someone.

bro your best bet is to score the ampule before popping it... reduces the risk of shattering it and makes it a hell of alot easier to open. IMO

It just talks about cleaning the area around you and then swabbing the top and how to withdraw and then tells ya wut to do all the way up to swabing your injection site in a circular motion and shit then gets downt o here and it maeks no sense cuz u should already have ur shit outta there.
