I really need to hit my lower pecs hard. What's the best way to do declines? Should I lower the bar to my lower chest or upper chest? I see a lot of people using big weights that bring the bar down to their stomach. Most of my lifting experience is with powerlifting so I haven't done a lot of declines. How do you BBers do them?

i think by lowering the bar as far your upper chest you endanger your shoulder girdle. when i hit declines i lower the bars/db's right to the underpart of my chest, different ways may work for you and/or other people but thats what gives me the best pump.

i preferably like to bring the bar down to my lower pec and stop the bar 3 inches from my chest. that seems to work great for me. actually i stop the bar that way in all my chest exercises. i see theses guys at the gym slamming the weight off their chests. its ridicules, someones gonna crack their sternum soon. thats just my opinion i could be wrong

I think the best form for decline presses is standing beside the bench, laughing at the people who do them ...
