In the "ghetto" when one person gets popular and rich -- he leaves behind a LOT of angry poor pissed people who were like him, but didn't "make it".

And so violence towards them by men who are poor and uneducated and going nowhere in life erupts. While most rap celebs victims were embroiled in high profile fueds -- their killers were lowly thugs who hated their victims success and had no problem pulling the trigger.

Yeah I saw that. This guy had good aim. Most rappers who are shot are hit several times and live cause the people who have shot them haven't been able to aim. Not this case.

Honestly, he wasn't the type to get shot. He wasn't that well-known or belligerent.

You might want to try Mozilla Firefox browser. Jnuts here turned me onto Mozilla and it is great. It is nothing to install and it will transfer all of your bookmarks and settings over to it.

As I understand, Mozilla is very similar to Explorer except is uses less programs making it faster and they have a real good popup blocker along with the Google toolbar I use also makes popups literally null. I recommend you try it. That clicking the box thing must be annoying.

actually the guy was not a spy, he was a officer that defected and killed members of the police chiefs family. When captured, he was brought to the man and KAPOW!!

There is another photo out there of him laying on the ground as the chief has turned and is casually walking away. Great photo in it's own right, not when compared to it's 5 second earlier cousin photo that was just posted.

The thing is, understanding rap culture or whatever, this is actually UNCOMMON. Rare even. About 90% of the rappers who talk about violence and drugs dont even involve themselves in that scene. Their too big for that usually. That's why this is actually surprising. Contrary to what you may think, rappers arent gun-toting thugs who slang crack on the streets. That's the lie they sell to stupid white kids. They make their money off billboards and that's about it. So this dude dying is no different than some other artist dying.

All racism is pointless since we all have to live on this planet, but I think blacks get up in arms about it more than any other group simply because we repressed them for all those years way back when. Racism towards them is what they see as an extension of that era, kinda like throwing it back in their faces or some shit. On the flipside, The Japanese (which many seem to clump together with other asians as a whole) bombed Pearl Harbor and I'm sure some decendents of pissed off veterans inherited their hatred/disrespect and figure big deal.
I'm perplexed however as to why anyone in general has to care so much as to even bother being racist, since it only causes more problems. About the only artist I've ever heard of being shot in any other genre of music was Lennon, and that was over 25 years ago. In the last 10 or so years you've had Tupac, Biggie, Jam Master Jay, and Proof, not to mention all the incidents at clubs, awards shows, etc. where rappers were reportedly at the scene. Or were said to have been.

My point was that people think this violence is an everyday occurence just because they're rappers, when in reality, it isnt. Yes, I realize that those you have listed off are rappers who have been killed. EZ was killed by aids, though...Pac, Biggie, these guys are like lennons of rap. Greats. I realize that more rappers have been murdered or killed then other artists from other genres, but I have no doubt in my mind that people think rappers are always caught up in this business when infact they are more likely to be working on a photoshoot. This murder, in the grand scheme of things, is very rare.

This is one of the aspects that I love about rap so much, that many of the best have died by the gun. Not just any rappers though, often the top ones. Pac, biggie, big L, Big Pun, Jam Master Jay, Proof....these guy's arent ordinaries and it really makes their stories that much more unique.

As Biggie once said, "you're nobody until somebody kills you"...proof wasnt a HUGE rapper, but his immortalization will begin now.

The two rappers that I know of: all of their estate went to their children or mothers. Both Biggie and Pac's mother set up foundations for children in the projects.

But one could also argue why spend a half a million dollars on a chain when you can build a new playground or a new school room.

I'm sure biggie deep down (if he had half a brain) wasn't boasting about it when he said that- probably more regretfully speaking. And that really applies only to the rap world (it also reminds me of what you see in mob movies).
For instance: if someone shot someone like Arnold Schwarzenegger or even Slash from Guns 'n Roses/Velvet Revolver, it would be seen as a waste and a tragedy. And people would look back and shake their heads. Bringing up the fact that they were important enough to be shot to death would be redundant at best.
The bottom line is it's tragic and leaves people to look at the person who did it as a big piece of shit with a frown on their face. No glory in any of it.
