proactiv is nothing groundbreaking.

it's the system that works for people

1.) salycid acid face wash
2.) some type of toner/exfoliate
3.) some type of moisturizer to replenish after exfoliating
4.) (optional) some type of benzyl peroxide for existing blemishes

all the "acne systems" follow this formula because that's what you're SUPPOSED to do to your skin.

pretty good for the face, but hard to start doing that on your back or shoulders. you'll run through that shit in a week

the active ingred. is the same; and they have all the steps "available" ; Noxzema does not package it like proactive; you have to figure out what you need.

If you have acne ; you will need the 3 steps.

Proactive is easier ; especially for a man. You are not sitting there trying to pick out the right stuff for your skin type.

Proactive is easier ; especially for a man. You are not sitting there trying to pick out the right stuff for your skin type.

thats the thing, the selection of facial treatments in stores is so large its overwhelming, so many brands so many different therapies

if this stuff works out ill cut back to EOD and see if i can maintain

oh I almost forgot the question.....I bought some for my son and he started using it and I think it was working but I then noticed he stopped using it and when I asked him why he said it dried his face out really bad.

It worked very well for me. I didn't like the Noxema version. The difference is in the moisturizers and fillers. Some work better for some people - it all depends on how your own skin reacts. I really liked the Proactive cleanser and repair lotion.

I used it and it worked, cleared me up nice, but like a lot of things my body adjusted to it and I started to get break outs again. If you do it you have to stay on top of it 2 times a day. That was for my face I couldn't say about back or anything like that.
