post workout cardio

on days that i lift i usually will go on the elliptical for about 20 minutes after i workout. should i wait until i get home to have my shake (usually about 45 minutes to an hour after the cardio) or should i take it immediately after i lift and then do the cardio???? i feel if i drink the shake before i do the cardio it's useless...i also don't want to miss that window to ingest simple sugars and protein. what do you guys think?
 
Right after your cardio drink your shake, you body needs to refuel. There is no reason to have it in between because your still technically working out. And waiting 45 min until you get home is to long to wait.
