Post cycle problem

Okay, followed my PCT program and am a little over 6 weeks after last injection. My endo informed me (tested last friday) that my test levels were normal, but cholesterol skewed still somewhat--not uncommon.

The most alarming information pertained to my pituitary gland--it has yet to begin working. I understand the concept behind the gland's function and the repressing behavior as a result of elevated testosterone.

i guess i am wondering what will happen next. As I understand it, my pituitary gland will "awaken" when my testosterone levels diminish and my body reacts to compensate.

but isnt that the point of PCT? so my test levels will not drop below normal? so when do my glands start secreting again?

Are you using clomid?? If not, you should check into it. Clomid stimulates the pituitary. . .that's all it does. The pituitary makes LH, LH stimulates the testes to produce sperm and testosterone.

yes, nolva and clomid

Not to scare you, but if it doesn't turn back on soon, you might want to have a cat-scan (or whatever the hell machine they use to image the brain) to get checked for a tumor on your pituitary.

How's your endogeonous test levels?? If your have natural test, then your pituitary IS working. . .period.

I'll tell you in a month after I go back.

don't worry, you didnt scare me...i just shit my pants.

Sorry. Get your test levels checked. If you have test and it's within the normal range, you have nothing to worry about. No pituitary activity=No LH=No natural testosterone production. If you have test, then your pituitary is working. :)

What I was thinking here. If your test lvl is normal then the only other source for it would be the cycle you did, and after 6 weeks I would think that would all be gone.

bump. someone's gotta know

Have you lost everything you gained?? If not, then your natural shit's gotta be working again.

Personally, I've never heard of a pituitary test. I didn't know that there was any precise method to test for LH (only a tiny bit is secreted each day). If your natural test levels are low for no apparent reason, one of the things that docs worry about are tumors on the pituitary. However, they look for other signs (??) before they even do a cat scan to see if there's anything going on.

If I'm wrong about this, someone please chime in.

Don't worry about it. All that stuff Lyle Alzado said before he died about roids giving him brain cancer, that's all BS so don't worry.

Go back and talk to your doc again. Tell him you wanna get all the information straight, and if it all still adds up the same, tell you want the next visit or test or whatever ASAP. discuus your options now for the possible situation so you know whether you wanna tell him you any test that need to be done, to be done ASAP. That's the fastest way to speed things up. See another doc if ya gotta. Not sure how long those type of tests usually take though.

I'm not disagreeing with you but, didn't Jason Giambi have a pituitary tumor that was affecting his rehab??

thanks for the input guys...i will go to the doc again

Keep us informed. Personally, I'm betting that everything is working OK. . .just miscommunication or the test results were BS. If not, you would most certainly have lost everything that you gained and then some.
