Possibly abcess, first ever what to look for?

hey all, shot was done monday night first test of new gear. only did one shot to make sure it was sterile. tuesday was sore, wednesday was sorer, today its less sore but i did notice a little tiny red spot on my glute which i had not noticed before. it feels like the injection spot, still tender, but it was "prop" so it could just be the "prop". anyways like i said its just a little tiny red dot right now, no larger than the head of a pin. i did not notice this spot the prior 2 days, which i had been watching for. So what should i look for from here? i have not noticed that it is excessivley warm, i used heating pad last night cause it was prety sore but thismorning it felt lots better. I'm prepared to go the the doc the minute i think it may be somthing more than just injection site soreness. It was of course b12 but what else should i tell my doc so that i seem as innocent as possible? i dont look juiced because im not so any other tips would be greatly appreciated. Also is b12 and buying syringes to inject yourself illegal? or is this just self medicating?

You're fine for now me thinks. And your syringe/B12 usage w/o an RX may or may not be against the law where you live. Don't worry about excuses you'll need to make to your Dr yet. Most of the time you're better off telling the truth. In some states AS aren't even a felony and the Dr doesn't give a fuck as long as you're paying $$$. However, if the local Dr or nurses know family/friends of yours, you might wanna seek medical care on the other side of town-or in another town altogether just in case people wanna go on a crusade to save you from yourself.

well, honestly im not juiced so i dont really look like it either, and my weight records would indicate im not and have not been juicing. just for safety i may use a doc in a different town.

Massage the area throughout the day to get the fluid moving. also apply heat for 30 mins 2-3 times per day.

To be really safe use an urgent care center and pay cash instead of using your insurance. My abcess drain/treatment costed me about $300-but could've costed a lot more if I waited. I had a 50 cc lump on my tricep for 2 days. It started off warm to the touch, red, and about the size of a grape. It kept growing slowly even after 2-3 days of ice and oral anti-b's and it still looked like I had a knot the size of a 50 cc bottle of EQ stuck to my arm. When the Dr lanced it this clear/white shit squirted out everywhere-on him, on the floor, on the table...etc. He and the nurse earned their $$$ treating me that day. lol I had to continue draining that fucker on my own in the shower 2x a day for the next week. It was not fun and left a permanent indentation in my tricep.

Thats NOT true. See my thread started yesterday titled "Infection, Damn it" I have pics of my infected delt and I never felt itchiness or the slightest bit of a fever. and this is about I think four days after the injection!

I agree with CO B-man. I had no fever either and I had 3 abscess!!!
Last monday I had plastic surgery to remove the scars from the abscess

wow, this is good info guys, like i said this is in my glute so it could be even tougher to see if there is real swelling. it was a rather shallow injection, deff in the muscle tissue, but not the full 1.5" in prob more like an inch. how could yall tell it was a abcess if there was not a fever? anyone had an abcess in their glute? if tomorrow its not feeling better than today and the red dot is any bigger i should be concerned right? also why pay cash? why not just let insurance deal w/it? i can get in on any day of the week i need to see a doc

Prop is the most painful injection for me. I felt crippled - sometimes for up to a week later.

Why you using test prop as a first cycle? Whats your injection frequency?

not my first cycle. i only did one shot to test the gear, i always do this as not to get multiple abcesses if its not sterile

Test prop hurts man, cut it with some EQ or sterile oil?

If you have to go to the doctor say you got jabbed wtih something while messing around in your garage.

If you read it all you would have noticed that I popped it myself and drained it myself. It was so swollen that it was painless. I hardly felt a thing except after it popped I felt a very slight and short sting. When I saw it moving under my skin I hot a clean needle pierced the skin and drained it. I did try using a syring in my muscle but could not get anything out after I already popped it. It gave like popping big pimple except bigger. I would not be too concerned yet unless your muscle not just where the knot is but all around it as well gets real hard it will just not seem right. personally I think you are jumping the gun a little thinking it is an abscess but the only one who can tell is you right now. Try taking a couple pictures and posting them.

But first and foremost be safe if you are in doubt even the least.

ya bro, actually, I just read that exact article you are referring to yesterday. when I read it then, i still asked myself the same question, lol......??

I have read that a few bros on here do that, but I also learned at the beginning of my AAS research to never mix oil and waterbased gear??? i think it was something about creating sterile abcesses but probably not everytime but I wouldn't want to take the chance.
