Positive Bodybuilders.

Just wondering if there are any Postive Bodybuilders here that might be able to give advise to other Postive bodybuilders. I know its a touchy issue with discloser and what, but I personally don't have a problem with my status. Just thought I would ask.
My mom always said "You won't know till you ask".

Hi mister. I'm a postive BB too, living in London. Happy to share experiences here or in private messages. Not an expert on gear, but have taken enough over the years to have got past the novice stage.

85kg here hoping to get to 100kg in two to three years time, up from 67kg when I started training seriously (five years ago). Would like to progress faster, but it's kind of expensive... :)

Been positive, and lucky enough to be healthy, for nearly 12 years now. On combo. Anyway. Look forward to hearing from you.

:rainbow: Hey Damon, glad to see you have had some luck with your weight. I never have done any gear myself. I was planning on using them but, since they have now banned them in the US . I don't think I can afford or risk doing them. It will be a slow process now, but whats a guy to do about the government.

Hey--I'm not sure if I'm a bodybuilder or not, but I lift weights and run and am in pretty good shape, and I've been poz for about 6years now (I'm 32yrs old). I can't seem to get past 185-190 lbs though, no matter what I take. Since my bodyfat is low, I sorta go against what other poz people tend to try for, which is to gain more weight regardless of whether it's muscle or fat.
Anyway, I'm not an expert, though I am an HIV/AIDS counselor, but I do think everyone can learn from each other. You may know something I can learn, and visa versa.
Feel free to contact me if you wanna chat more.

:rainbow: Hey Lauderdalemuscle,...I would not call myself a "real" builder either. I am building a newer body, one with muscles. Ive been poz for nearly 14 yrs. Only been working out for the last 2 1/2 yrs. During which time I have gained 25#'s of muscle. Which put me in at a whopping 150 #'s .... ;) . I would love to get to about 170#, but Im not sure I will ever get there. Let's just say I am a very picky eater.
Just wanted to Welcome you, and if that is you in your avitar...Looks real good.
Later.... :artist:

yeah that's me in the avatar, though I need a new one because I've grown since then; thanks for the compliment just the same. Is that by any chance you in your avatar? Later man

POZ bodybuilder and first post here!

I competed a bit in the 80's went thru the whole body change thing and was able to get on test (androgel) 4 years ago. The best thing you can do I think is find a good bodybuilding nutritionist and tell him of your medical history and your goals.

Doing that I've gone from 155 to 195 and am still gaining. I plan to start hitting Masters Open classes in 2 years.

I supplement with the usual stuff, just a bit more because my body needs more. Looking into Deca thru an aging clinic, but so far the Masterone and tren based OTC's stacked with my androgel have worked pretty good.

Additionally, there are several studies going on of the efficacy of low dose Serostim to prevent or reverse body changes for LTS (long term survivors) and non progressors.

Most of all, EAT. EAT clean but eat well, minimum 6 meals, 8 meals a day. talk to the nutritionist I recommended you to go to about that.

PM me for more info.

oh and yeah, I'm single.

Hi Alan. Po bber here. I'd be intrested in reading your thoughts on your chnaged routine. I've been trying seriously for the past 3yrs to increase lbm. Doing the 6meal/day and balancing macros thing. The first couple of years were a learning experience but i think i have gotten better at it and doing working at a reasonable pace now.

Thanks! Alan Chiras.

Diet
rest
supplmentation
excercise

in that order. if you make gains and then suddenly level out or actually lose it usually means one or more of those 4 things is out of whack. I try to be hypervigilant, not over train and make sure I am eating on schedule and resting enough. Difficult I know but you gotta do it.

For anything else I would need more information from you.

Bump!

this needs to stay fairly high on the posing list.

In the past few months i've met online a couple high placed amatures who are POZ. all have told me that the primary concern is adipose lipodystrophy - visceral fat- and keeping liver numbers good. Both suggested minimizing the use of orals and sticking with injectables and transdermals.

The FDA recently put a halt to Serono's studies on Serostim (hgh) as a treatment for lipo due to high incidences of diabetes. They gave Serono permission to state that hgh has shown some effectiveness at treating lipo on the label, stopping short of a full indication but giving docs wriggle room if they see a need.

Both guys told me thier solution was simply to shoot for heavyweight classes where a protruding belly is not that unusual, just make sure that when you diet down the "6 pack" is visible.

Just remember, the point is looking good and feeling good. Do not go overboard and start trying to do the huge cycles that the pro's use.

More later

Hey guys, just wanted to share this.. but a lot of people I know that are poz here in South Florida, in addition to anabolic cycles, they often rely on periactin to help stimulate the appetite and increase their bodyweight.

Just wanted to throw that out there as an option.

I wish I had your problem. Try some cardio or circuit training. My Doctor still says NO cardio for me :worried:

Cheers! Alan Chiras.
