It's amazing that repubs point to Kerry's gaff and make it out like it simply erases all the crimes, arrests, downfalls and boo-boos they have accumulated.

we all know there's plenty of that crap to go around
there's 535 congressmen
you take 535 people of any segment and you're going to get some shit out of a few
I'm not even a serious republican,I tend to vote republican
but locally I go with whom I have a better feel for
and in general I vote democratic for judicial positions,actually I vote almost exclusively democratic for judges
right-wing religious zealot judges scare me as much as any fool pelosi type
I like a guy such as leiberman too,and I said back in '04 in a post reply to you AAP that I'd vote for him

I'd love to do bookie events on some of these races
but I can't find any odds
I could probably invest some time and handicap a dozen races fairly well and set up some decent odds
but to do it right I'd have to spend at least an hour on each race
sorting the bullshit from the real opinion is what makes politics hard to figure
and I wouldn't do some lame ass averaging of the polls

Biggest problem with the GOP (and that's actually true with canadian conservatives too) is that unfortunately, they still hang out with the religious zealots. Leave them on the side and they'd actually get rid of most scandals.

If I wanted to make some real coin I could invest the time and do it for real
contact bodog,which already has numerous entertainment events and submit a proposal
there's a reason why the common sentiment is you don't discuss politics and/or religion
because people are serious passionate about it,like football for example
but you can discuss football
and you can bet on it
betting on your religion isn't an option for obvious reasons
but betting on political outcomes would be attractive
they do it in the UK,but I can only find odds on the '08 prez elections
which are dems-133,rep+105

It's politics at it's core and honestly, as conservative as I am on just about every issue, I want an independent in there to shake things up. I really think independents are how the majority of people really think, but they can't break thru the wasted vote syndrome.

I'm just glad that the frigin political ads will be off the TV and radio a couple years. I am SO sick of hearing them.
