Polish 2001 IronMind training Hall tape preview :)

wow great clip...... i wish i was into OLY lifts.....i just dont have it....i am all bodybuilding......unreal stuff

damn guy is a grasshopper

They are using Bumper plates, rubber coated ones, That's why the bounce.

Well it isn't very safe trying to lower weights over 200lbs when you have them overhead :)
A lot of the time they are using weights that you can't actually press, ie 300+lbs

Plus it saves energy and recovery time, eccentrics tear muscle fibers.

Those guys actually bench press on that video, the guy with the moustache is the world record snatch holder in his weight class too, snatches and bench press hmmm :)
I think he benched 160kg for a triple on his top set from memory.

The other guy Kolecki benched 180kg, 396 for 2 reps, slight bounce, minimal arch, no gear, not too shabby huh for a 210lb guy? :)
At the end of the workout too, after all the stuff they do.

I have that video.....and have watched it over and over.Even if someone doesnt care for oly lifting I would recomend this video!Pretty sure that Kolecki was a teen during the video, but I may be wrong.

VERY cool. Notice that nobody was standing around talking. Nobody had on nice clothes. No gym bunnies. No fancy equipment. I love it...inspirational.

The first thing I noticed was the silence. The only noises are the weights and an occasional grunt.

The wieghts used in this particular clip in order -

1) Mid thigh Hang snatch - I think its 120kg, 264lbs
2) Snatch pull - can't remeber - probably between 300-400lbs
3) snatch press hybrid - just warming up - 70kg 154lbs
4) jumps onto a 110cm bench top - 44inches :)
5) Powersnatch complex - just warming up, first set 60kg - 132lbs
6) Squat press - middle sets - about 180-220lbs from memory, he did go heavier
7) Mid thigh hang power snatch - top set - 110kg - 242lbs
8) Behind the neck push press - Mid 200 lbs I think.
9) Snatch - 2nd rep of the set, around 300+lbs
10) Squats - 220kg 484lbs - they did many sets with this weight.
11) Cleans - around 180kg I think, 390-400lbs
12) Clean and jerk complex set - he did one clean, and then the clean and jerk after as shown - I think its was 200kg - 440lbs

nice vid CCJ... very cool

Here is a clip of that guy, with the beard (the one kjumping on/off the 44inch desk) , in a meet clean and jerking 210kg 462lbs. He was in the 77kg 170lbs class back then, a bit bigger now in the 85kg 187lbs class :)

You can just see the way they train vs Bulgarians, why they are bigger muscle mass wise. Lots more exercise variations higher reps relatively speaking, volume and lower intensity on the average etc.
