when you do the polygraph, just thik of something else, like did i take the trash out? things of such will put your mind at ease. i have passed 2 polygraphs using that technique. hey it works for me..

you will be in a union and what drugs they can test for will be listed in your contract. A/S is not one of them. and if they start to think you are on them, they will have a huge problem trying to test you for them if it's not interfereing with your duties.

when i did my aplictaion for the PD, i answered no to all there drug questions on the writtenn questionairew. when the detective came in and started questioning me , he asked me about each of the drugs listed. and he asked me if i new what they were and i told him, no , thats why i answered them the way i did. he said ok and sent me to the next phase of recruitment. i completed all and was waiting for my school seat, and then decided to join the marine corps at the age of 25..

oh well. i love my job, and the pay sucks in both places..

Hey guys,

I just got done with the interviewing process as of last Friday.

On the polygraph they asked me if I used any of the following drugs.... IT WENT ON FOREVER, at least 20-30 different drugs, then came the steroids....

I said "Yes."

Then I was asked "When was the last time you used?"

Me-"About 2 months from yesterday(I'm cutting now)"

Them-"Do you understand that steroids are illegal in the United States of America and it is a felony to use and/or possess."

Me-"Yes sir."

After that they went into more drugs....

At the end, they thanked me for my time and directed me down the hall to the Police department psychologist.

That was fun stuff...... LOL
To me it seems that psychologists have the easiest jobs...

I wouldn't worry bro, a friend from my high school football team's father is in the PD where I was getting tested, he openly juices, along with I'd say 50-60% of the force.

The polygraph is the big hurdle as others have said. From what I have heard, injectibles will disqualify you for sure. There are larger departments that are having problems recruiting so they are loosening up on hiring qualifications. You used to have to be atleast a certain height and marijuana use would disqualify you. Now you can be 3' tall and as long as you speak spanish and have a somewhat descent background you're in.

When I was at the NYPD entry test, some of the guys taking it, 1) were scrawny little punks that couldn't handle a nasty woman, 2)All looked like cocky bastards, and 3)looked like they never ran or touched weights in their life... I actually felt bad for some of the guys.

When I took my poly, they didn't ask oral/injectable... Just did you use steroids... That's it... But I guess if they ask what kind, just say oral to be on the safe side... And also, deny deny deny EVER smoking marijuana, two of my friends were eliminated from the Miami and Boston PD's for admitting using.... They've been clean for well over 2 years, and they still didn't care, excused them from the whole process.....
