Well, if they did, indeed, shoot him while he was already subdued and on the ground, that would be wrong for them to do, even though the kids was a piece of shit. However, I sort of doubt that was the case. Sounds like the kid tried to kill the cops with a bat and he got what was coming to him. No way he thought that they were burglars. They knocked on the door and the mom must have tipped him off to run.

Because some lawyer is going to help those poor folks sue the city and the cops, so that they can get over their emotional pain.

This cracks me up...Yes because all "robbers" come into your house with SHERIFF T's and tactical gear. It sounds like the Deputies responded as they should have, a bat can very easily be a lethal weapon and that makes there use of deadly force justified. To those that argue that he could have been "subdued" using less than lethal means you never take that chance. I am sure the parents will try and sue on this one but they are not going to get a thing out of the county or the involved officers.
