Cop do their job (that everyone is constantly bitching they DONT do) and they get hung out for it. It's a wonder ANYONE sane would want to become a cop.

the police responded with proportional violence. whether the guy deserved it matters little; he made it happen, and it did.

^^^^ oh yeah, he did hat as soon as he swung the bat. That's when shots should have been fired. I believe the police in this case tried every single option before firing. I kinda have respect for them for that. All parents would be upset if they watched or heard their kid get killed, so lets be easy on them. Let them grieve for their kids stupidity, and move on........^^^^

Well, if they did, indeed, shoot him while he was already subdued and on the ground, that would be wrong for them to do, even though the kids was a piece of shit. However, I sort of doubt that was the case. Sounds like the kid tried to kill the cops with a bat and he got what was coming to him. No way he thought that they were burglars. They knocked on the door and the mom must have tipped him off to run.
