Hi! I thought I should finally drop in and say hello to you all. I've been reading EF boards for months now and learned a lot. From now on I'll be writing here also, so a few facts about me.

I've lifted for over six years now - and went heavy from the very beginning. Don't do much cardio, but will change that soon. At the moment I'm pretty fed up with my bf% - it's about 24 - because I'm confident that there's a lot of muscle underneath just waiting to be seen :D So after the christmas holidays I'll start over: start regular cardio, look into my diet (which is not that bad right now, actually, cause I've made a lot of minor changes all along after learning new stuff from you) and of course continue my battle with iron ;)

So, thank you ladies for all the help I've already gotten and every advice I'll get in the future. I hope I will be able to give and share something, too!
 
AWESOME!! WELCOME!! Great post...glad to have ya here!! We will do all we can to help you...What does your diet look like now? Cardio is great..along w/ a heavy intense weight training routine...:)
 
Thanks new@! The thing is, that I can't give any exact details of my diet as yet. I'm working on a spreadsheet, where I'm gonna gather info on every ingredients I usually eat and use so I can easily check the nutrition values. But for example:

The OLD Blimey: Ate sky high carbs, and mostly bad carbs.
The NEW Blimey: Eats moderate carbs - mostly the good ones.

The OLD Blimey: Ate max three times a day, HUGE meals. In between the meals I was hungry and angry as hell, shakin' all over and thus relying on some VERY BAD easy choices like candy bars and greasy pizza slices.
The NEW Blimey: carries small meals with her in a lunch-box. Fruits, sandwiches (only rye bread, no butter, for example) etc. Eats two decent meals per day - low fat, high protein, chicken and lean meat. Lots of water, too.

The OLD Blimey: the party-girl. Almost every W/E clubbing, drinking gallons of beer and spirits and smoking like the Marlboro Man. After those nights I usually kept away from the gym for at least two days :(
The NEW Blimey: Parties only when absolutely necessary (getting old, I guess?) and tries to keep it under control when going out. Cut smoking radically three months ago.

I go to the gym six days a week, and do a routine where I train only one bodypart at a time. It works brilliantly for me, my lifts come up steadily:D

So the plan is to really check my diet and add the cardio asap. Next summer I'll be in my best shape ever! I hope:rolleyes:

Welcome, I'm fairly new here too. I like your 'location'! :lmao:

When you start cardio... I'm a little biased toward certain types.... I think I'm the only aerobics instructor on the boards... I think it's so FUN, but the iron is awesome too!
