Ok I have a job that requires getting up really early and driving almost 2 hours just to get to work, I also ride with one other guy and we try to take turns driving in the morning but sometimes i just cant stay awake and he has to drive in the morning more often than he should and we joke back and forth about it and my only defense is this:

He is 6'1 155 and Iam 6'4 255 mostly bulky muscle and I always say its because my body needs more sleep and recuperation time than his because im 100 pounds more than him, his three hours of sleep is more to him than my three are to me, kind of like a runner who is skinny needs less oxygen to maintain stamina than a bodybuilder would correct???

If Iam totally wrong then cool im an idiot but if this is in any way correct please let me know and if possible post some scientific data please.

Thanks.

Suck it up and do your 50% of the driving. No excuses.

sounds like you need to go to bed earlier bro.

Sometimes theres only three or four hours of sleep available, so that makes no sense as an argument, its just a joke between us cause i always drive home but I was curious to see if it had any real bearing?

maybe so, do some google research or ask your doctor.

I know you need more sleep if you are working out a lot because your body uses a lot of energy to rebuild muscle.

Thats what im talking about. I lift 5 days a week and run early in the mornings twice a week also.

so you probably have more sleep requirements due to your increased level of physical activity. I still say, go to bed earlier. I have to.

well you still shouldn't make him do all the driving, I'm sure if you give him a couple bucks a day he wouldn't mind... but otherwise I know how it is to be really tired and having to work. Just blows
