1 - Age : 36
2 - Lifting History : none
3 - Height : 5 feet 6 inches
4 - Weight : 290 lbs
5 - Estimated BF31% a lot
6 - Diet : I need help. Currently I am doing Body for life and have lost 7 lbs. in my first week without any exercise.
7 - Goals : Lose all of this ridiculous fat and get much punanny. (recently divorced)
8 - Proposed cycle Winstrol, starting November 1st.

Any help you bro's can give me to lose the fat and bulk up, I will be most appreciative. I want to be one of the success stories I have been reading about.

Challenge : I got injured in the military (Hence the weight loss from sedentary living, I used to run 5 miles a day and weighed 145lbs!) and have arrythmia, slight breathing problems, and sleep apnea. I got a thorough physical and many tests and my doctors encourage me to exercise and lose the fat or I will pay the consequences sooner rather than later.

Thanks again for your knowledge and inspiration.

Hey bro. I wouldnt run any AAS until i had shed the fat. You have to get some serious training in and get your body ready and have a nice foundation. There are so many health risks at being over weight(high blood pressure , heart disease etc.) and taking AAS would only further these risks. 7 lbs in one week is awesome bro. Keep up the hard work. Body for life is a good program. stick with it and u will get the weight off. But steroids should not be anywhere in your near future. I trained for 4 years hard before I started any AAS. and I had no health problems at the time. Take it easy bro. You will get the weight off man. You gotta be careful. Good luck.

I agree with with Javy. At one point in my life I was boozing all the time and weighed in at 242lbs at 5'11 and I signed up for the Navy May of that year and had to go to bootcamp by October 28th and in that time I dropped down to 185lbs with lots of hard work dieting and cardio with moderate weight training and I was in the best shape of my life at that point. My motivation was both pussy and not being an individual in basic training.Since I dropped the weight I never gained any of it back, quit boozin, and have been addicted to working out ever since. Even though now my goals are different then they were then.

I think you should worry about cardio and diet not AAS or getting huge for ahwile.
Here is a somewhat good way to measure - can you see your abs at all? if not don't worry about AAS then.

Thanks for the advice, I was told that AAS would speed up the fat loss dramatically, but I trust you guys opinion and will hold off for a while.

hold off on the aas til you drop some bf% i recommend waiting til 12-15% at the most if you have that bad of a desire to use aas..you will be happy in the long run

A good friend of mine who is 50 years old, just lost 50 pounds in 3 months.
And he never picked up a weight! He did about 1.5 hours of cardio every morning using 3 different cardio indoor machines. And he quit drinking and kept a VERY clean diet. I was very impressed, cuz he isn't a fitness guru or anything. He started out at 250 lbs, at his age, cutting to 200 in 3 months is impressive. I'm 35 and its tough enough for me now. He is now going to start with some weights and abs training.
oh and he started drinking a little again.... well he does own a bar... :)

In those same 3 months i've lost 20 lbs and droppred from 16% to 12 % bodyfat. I'm pretty happy. I didn't use AAS to do it either. Yoga, Cario, Weights, ECA stack and very clean diet. Now I am on a cycle to get my bf down to 10%.

IMO you are going to have to relearn how to eat, sounds silly but its true. I once was 50lbs over weight and droping the weight wasnt all that tough once it started coming off (congrats on the 7lbs).

You will need to learn to eat foods that satisfy your hunger, adapt to a no sugar diet, learn to eat healthy (many people are clueless), and learn to count calories. Your diet is a bigger component to weight loss then your exercise routine.

Most of all you need to make a life style change and have fun with all of this.

Good luck & be well

sorry about your injury bigdon. working out and exercise is such an important part of many of our lives at elite. i have wondered from time to time how it would be to have that taken away after a serious accident. it sounds like a horrible thing to go thru.

anyhow, i am assuming you have good health benefits after being injurerd in the military. why not seek professional help starting with a good doctor? maybe he can refer you to some program that your insurance covers. it sounds like your situation is too difficult to do on your own.

good luck and keep us posted in your progress. :)

You have just started, give it some more time...get on a serious weight training program, weight training alone I went from 350 to 270 in under a year, and gained some nice muscle...then I did a Test/dbol cycle that helped me drop an assload of fat and gain muscle...bulid some muscle by weight training, and get a good diet with moderate carbs and lots of protein, then once you get stuck then use a low dose test cycle,it will help big time if your diet and training is in check.

BTW...DON'T Starve yourself..that is the number one mistake,I was guilty of it as well...eat plenty of food,at least every three hours, don't do that no carb shit,I noticed once I started eating a moderate amount of good carbs such as Oats, brown rice etc,the fat just started melting off.

Thanks you guys are awesome. I will do the BLF 12 week workout and re-evaluate at that time. I had my free day yesterday and still managed to drop another 1.5lbs.

Bigdon..............Remember this.......you didnt get in that shape overnight and you wont fix it overnight. I like you lived a very sedentary lifestyle for many years. In November of 2002 my stats would match yours almost to the T. I also smoked like a freight train. Earlier that same year my woman of 12 years left as well. Its actually amazing the similarities we share. Anyway that November I quit smoking and went on a diet. I dieted until July of 2003. I had lost some weight but really was just a smaller out of shape version of myself. The diet I used at that time was to little food and not very educated.

In July last year I joined a program called UBC. It is VERY much like the body for life you are doing. The diets are the same and the fitness is similar. Today I am 185lbs and hover around 15 to 16% BF (pyscho rigiht now because I am up 5lbs and feeling like a cow lol its all relative). I am very proud of the fact that I even instruct there now!! I have yet to do a real cycle although I am close lol......I did recently start GH. What I am saying to you I think is just follow the program. Follow the diet to the T!! Eat six times a day, get your clean proteins , carbs and veggies. It does get easier. You will relearn your eating habits. The two most important things for you right now in order of importance are diet and cardio.....your strength training is important as well. On the diet use your cheat day to get you through bro. In the end you will love yourself for it. Not only will you look better but your outlook will change too. If you get discouraged shoot me a PM bro.......I would be happy to offer my own experience.....dont get me wrong I am far from a guru..just another guy likeyou working on it. As an instuctor there now I see countless people make changes every 10 weeks. Its awesome to see the smiles on their faces at the end!! Its even more awesome to see that some stick around and keep working towards their goals. Good luck bro and again if you want to chat or vent even shoot me a pm.

It looks like you have already agreed that you don't/can't/shouldn't do a cycle now. You might want to work with a doctor to at least verify that your hormones are in the right range. Aromatase rate (Test to Estro) may be pretty messed up due to the high body fat levels. Likewise insulin resistance could also be a siginificant problem at this point. This is not something you can safely fine tune on your own. I know a couple of Doc's that will do this kinda office visit "virutally" PM me if you need a contact.
