I don't regularly frequent the diet board but have a question that you all can answer. It's an elementary question but I just don't know the reasoning behind this.
I've read where right after your workout that you need sugar/carbohydrates. WHY IS THAT!?!? I take dextrose with my creatine to shuttle it into my cells better but what purpose does it serve in general.
Also, does creatine/dextrose oppose or compete for digestion with protein shakes? I used to take the shakes immediately after workout but now it's the creatine/sugar.
