I am starting a bulking program and want some advice on my proposed diet. Too many cals? Not enough?

Im 6'3" and thin as a rail 163lbs. Im sick of being thin and want to bulk up. Ive done a lot of research on the web and came up with a diet and a workout.

6am
4 whole eggs, 1 cup hashbrowns

9am
protien bar

12pm
1 can tuna, 1 cup rice

3pm
myoplex mass made with 2% milk, 1 tbsp flaxseed oil

6pm
chicken breast, 1 cup veggies, 1 baked potato

9pm or before bed
myoplex mass made with 2% milk, 1 tbsp flaxseed oil

Its approx 3236 calories and 239g protien.

I havent figured up the fat or carbs yet.

Im not too worried about gaining fat right now as long as I am gaining muscle mass too. I just dont want to get too fat.

Any suggestions?

I am not a bulking diet expert by any means, but I think this looks pretty good! Maybe substitute your 3pm Myoplex with the chicken breast and have a nice big steak at 6pm would be beneficial.

I'm also not an expert but, if I was thin as a rail and trying to bulk up, I think I would be eating more than that. The lunch seems pretty small. Also, where is the fruit? Good luck.

I will probably throw in some juice along with each real meal. Or should I actually add in solid fruit for the fiber?

Im pretty new to this game, any advice is greatly appreciated.

BTW, I think I would be considered a true hard gainer.

agreed, when i bulked i ate every 2 hours, 8 meals a day. 2.5g protein x body weight. I started out at 160lbs 8 months ago... since then a cycle of creatine and a cycle of PH's along with eating everything in sight im up to 184lbs.

also 9pm for your last meal is kinda early. *unless your going to wake up in the middle of the night to eat.

4 whole eggs is your breakfast? A typical breakfast for me while i was bulking was 8 eggs (4 yokes) oatmeal, 2 slices of peanut butter toast, 6 oz beef patty, banana or other fruit. Then two hours later i had a protein shake and some more fruit.

No offense but to me it seems your eating like a bird... not to much of anything there. 2 weeks ago i had 5 steaks (10+) ounces each. Thats not to mention potatoes, rice, broccoli, corn, and other things i had in the course of the day (2 protein shakes) and not to mention my breakfast.

When you want to add weight eat big , lift big.

if you are a true hard gainer, you should be eating much much more. you are so thin right now, dont realy worry how clean it is or what foods, just eat eat eat till you puke

Wow, I am not sure how much I can actually eat though. As of right now, I eat 5 times per day, but dont keep track of anything I eat so I have no idea of the calories that I take in.

Im gaining ok, too. I lost a lot of weight because of marital problems (35lbs+). I was up to around 190 and got down to just above 150 or so. Now I am trying to gain it back and put it where it belongs.

I am 25, when I graduated high school, I weighed 145 and had 3.45% bodyfat and ate regularly. I think my metabolism has slowed since then, but still is very high.

I guess I will start with a little more. I will add a lot more protien and get my cals up a couple hundred more. If I am not gaining enough weight then, I will add more.

By the way, my last meal is at 9 because I go to bed shortly after that usually. If I happen to stay up later, I will throw in an extra meal, but I get up at 5:30 and need my rest too.
