Please Criticize my Deadlift...

This is me at 193lbs. Deadlifting 376. x1.

Did 8 sets of Singles. Also went for 401 later in the day.

I just want to make sure my form is good.



Also me benching 225x2. I was doing doubles in the gym that day.


Im more concerned about the deadlift form, before i start really getting heavy i want to be nice and perfect on my form.

I had the same problem as you do with deads. Got to use your legs for the first part then use your back to stand up straight. That looked more like an RDL (in the sense that you used primarily your back and some legs). See my thread about the first rep of deads. I was told to reset every rep but I did that and dropped the weight and it's better.

Again, keep your stomach tight, lift with the legs, then extend your back.
 
You must spread some Karma around before giving it to eat big again.

Thanks bro, yea i feel i pull more w/ back. Ya i read ya thread about the first rep, i tried to focus on my 1 rep. I try not to stay low for long, just get and pull. I think i have to widen my legs alittle more.

all i see is a picture of you looking like you are about the grab the bar.

your form on the deadlift looks pretty good. you just need to be more explosive at the start of the lift. also. you were set good when you first grabbed the bar. dont once you are locked in, you shouldn't be thinking about anything other than the lift. if you are filming your lift, don't ever look to check the camera, you could screw yourself.

benching....were you benching? it was hard for me to tell. I was too busy looking at the girl.....j/k. its hard to tell from that angle, but it looks like you are getting a good tuck with your elbows. if you are trying to get more of a PL style bench, then you need to learn to arch a lot, and tuck your feet and learn to use your leg drive to fire the bar off your chest. but I am not sure if that is the rout that you are going for.
 
Your deadlift didn't look bad to me. You stood up before you straightened your back out but it didn't look awful. There was no hesitation - good job at a good weight.

PS: And nice chick in the background of your benchpress video. woot woot :)

In the deadlift video im not actually lookin at the camera, im actually lookin in the mirror to see if my shoulders were inline or behind the bar!

DEF understand, about the bench and the arc and leg drive. I know i should be pushing and driving through my legs. I realized i dont do that too much, i got to work on it.


Thanks so now i just got perfect my form, and i should be good to go, thank god i dont got much work to do on it

What are we supposed to critique? The girl or the bench. The bench looked good. The girl was looking fine all posing for the camera. Not bad at all!!!!!!!
