I have only been lifting for six months, so I'm not sure of the answer. If you are constantly changing your weights and exercises, will you still eventually "plateau"?

most everyone platueas at some point or another...

if you haven't hit one, then i wouldn't be too concerned about it... usually only happens to experienced people, who have been at the game for awhile...

When training properly...plateaus should NOT happen. Don't get stuck in a rut...change up your routine, goals, etc. and plateaus are a thing of tha past.

I advise reading "The Essentials of Strength and Conditioning" if you don't know what I mean. You should be changing your routine (not just exercises, but intensity/volume/frequency) every couple months.

Thank you very much, those were the exact words I was waiting for!

No, you will constantly increase until you're deadlifting trees and benching the half-ton man from TLC. Then you just keep "changing it up" and making progress.

How could you stall if you shock the system?
