Pinning Quads

Just a quick question...when pinning your outer quad, is there a difference with absorption in the muscle whether u stand up, sit down, or if the bottom of your leg is pressed up against the chair and there's more fat around your thigh? I've seen pictures of both, so I assume it doesn't matter...but whenever I'm pinning I feel like it would be best to do it a certain way.

I use a 1" 25g all the way in. I sit on the chair and let it all press up like you said.
Never had a problem and hardly ever venture away from my quads!
 
Yea I use 1" 22g and it seems to be perfect. No swelling, no lumps, and no pain what so ever. I wish I had smaller pins but oh well, I usually let my leg hang off the chair though and not push it up against. Thanks for the input though.
 
It wouldn't matter, unless u stayed sitting or standing for a week. Once it's in the muscle it'll absorb as u walk around, run, or whatever. I think I read somewhere that delts have a quicker release time than quads or glutes though.
