I went to Greece, Athens and Santorini.

Me too Did you go to Mykonos? That was my favorite. The stray cat/dog issue was brutal for me though. I ended up bringing my Thira girl back from Santorini. So sad.. hopefully that will change. I know a kick ass woman who has been slowly changing that... God bless her.

Those were my favorite things in Athens. Other than that I wasn't too impressed with the city. I liked the islands better.

Those were my favorite things in Athens. Other than that I wasn't too impressed with the city. I liked the islands better.

im not a huge fan of athens either, imo its dirty and badly organised for a modern city. plus, its full of fking greeks lol

the islands are far better, theyre gorgeous. you cant even pick one (or 10) cos even the crappy little ones have the potential to be the next mykonos or santorini

Yeah - Athens eek. I won't even say what I saw while walking down the street - that's how traumatized I was. Ick.

the greeks over there are quite intense, i have to say. hungrier for stuff. personally im a lazy bastard who has everything so i dont care so much if i lived in athens, id be brawling 24/7

Acropolis is only reason to go to Athens. Islands are incredible. Ios was hedonistic- I still remember the burning from black beaches of Santorini. great time!
