just to let everyone know that when you inject gear and it hurts like hell for 4-7 days it is the alcohol in the mix which kills the bacteria that causes that type of infection. be thankful for that injection pain because its keeping your leg from looking like that

im still not crystal clear on why not to mix, i know they have different absorbtion rates but is it the fact that the water stays "trapped" in the oil and bacteria can grow?

The problem with mixing the oil and water based AAS is that it forms an oil/water emulsion, like Fonz stated. This is where basically tiny droplet of oil encapsulate water droplets. Normally, if you injected the water based gear alone it is absorbed and dissipates from the injection site very quickly. Therefore, no infection. When it is encapsulated by oil, the water stays at the injection site for a much longer period of time, which can result in an infection. The oil based gear will hold the BA so that it can't start growing anything, the water based gear will not, the alcohol leaves the water and makes for nice place to bacteria to grow.

This type of bacterial growth is easily controlled with anti-biotics, did you not see a problem arising before it came to this???

I had to have a cyst removed by my tailbone (not from injecting), and it has been about 2 months and still not healed up. Started working out about a 2-3 weeks ago, and it is hard to do somethings.

I know the pain you are going through and it is some shit that makes you wanna cry at times. Hope you get better.

Shinobi - the reason I didn't understand was that this was the first time I have heard about not mixing oil based AAS with water based b-12. In fact, several people have advocated mixing b-12 in with oil AAS like prop to "ease the pain" of injections. Based on the info in this thread - I think I'm going to split my injections up to oil based AAS in one area and b-12 in another .
