Picking A Car & Getting Ground Effects..

Need you guys help on doing this. I am thinking about getting a 98 or 99 Honda Accord. Maybe around $11-13 grand, and probably getting ground effects. I am wondering what you all think of ground effects? Anyone had any experience with them?

I also like Mitsubishi Eclipses, the old body style the 1995-1998s. They would look hot with ground effects and rims too. I would much rather get ground effects than have the car lowered. Maybe I am retarded but thats my personal opinion.:cool:

bodykits add a certain individualization that sepereates your car from the norm, they are either fiberglass or urethane, stick with the urethane if you can get it, its more durable and does not crack, there are always fitment issues with bodykits for expect them when installin the kit

Now that I look at it the 1994 - 1999 Toyota Celica's are very very nice!! Hot a*s rides if you ask me. In black with groud effects...

Is going over a speed bump going to be a problem!? I have heard some bad things - Ill try and go with urethane.

Where could I get my hands on some good urethane bodykits? Any good websites that are reliable?

Once you order the bodykit do you have to take it to get it painted somewhere?

Thanks man - the only problem is that Wings West doesnt carry 1994-1999 Celicas. :(:(

Any other good sites?

... groundeffects.com, body-kits.com, and a few others are decent.

have a reputable body shop install the kit since it can be a hassle. They never fit right and they need to be primed and painted to match your current paint job. This can be a hassle because they have to match paint. A good shop can match that or you could go nuts and strip the car down and get a total custom job!

Yeah wings west is the company which has got a kit for every car. But I did see an older celica with a body kit and it looked sooooooo nice. I can't explain it. I really don't like the car, but this one was amazing. An eclipse with a bodykit is nice. You should lower your car too, but yeah speed bumps and curbs are a slight problem. Sometimes you can't get over them. Many people can't even get oil changes at jiffy lube.

4th Generation Prelude baby! Thats my dream car I swear to God. Obviously I like the 5th Gen. more but Ill settle for the 4th!! :):)

Looks hot with a bodykit!

... I hope a bodykit isnt a problem - will going over speed bumps be a big problem? Is there anyway to avoid this? Maybe get a bodykit that isnt as low or something.

Here's an idea instead of being like 99.999% of ricers De."what you will be when you make a car look fast when it is still a slow ass pos" and adding ground effects that serve no performnce purpose "other than to actually slow you down with more aerodynamic drag'better yet add a wing on the back to a front wheel drive car' " spend your cash on first making the car fast then making it look fast. Just remember that your car with the ground effects will still be slow. Oh yea stickers add no horsepower either.

I DO NOT at all at all at all care about speed.

I dont think that ground effects make the car look fast. Speed means absolutely nothing to me. I dont want a car that takes 15 minutes to accelerate but other than that I dont give 2 fucks. Anyway I like the way ground effects look.
