I don't know if this is the right forum for this topic, but here goes.
Every time I go to a club, or just to a public place in general, someone mentions that I should model. I use to think that these people were on crack. Now that I have been LAID OFF (deep breath, deep breath) and am going to college fulltime, I am exploring this option for extra money. Anyone have any hints and tips how to get started in this?
I have also been asked to strip, but..uh, no. Not my thing, and I'm still combating extreme shyness.
Any advice would be greatly apprecieated.

Modeling is dumb work...but it's easy to get. I'm sure where ever you are there are some modeling agencies listed in the yellow pages. From most of them you'll just get dumb catalog stuff, Sunday paper inserts, etc....but it pays ok and it's a pretty good jumping off stuff. You're not going to go straight to some damn supermodel status anyway, so worrying about a "good" agency, etc. is just stupid in my opinion.

If you photograph well, and always show up to shoots on time, you'll get better and better work. Do you have any pictures at all? Get a head shot done - black and white will be fine to get started.
