photography ideas - help me brainstorm

I have a new color photo class with the first project being to photograph saturated colors. The images have to be vivid luminous colors with no shadows or neutral colors. everyone is doing candy and fruit and peppers. Also painted people and painted walls, and this all seems very 80s to me. Anyone have any other ideas for subject matter?

kid's clothing
piles of dishes or colorful cups
cups of pens and colored pencils
tubes of paint/artist's pallets
racks of paint sample colors at home depot

I work in a program that has a childrens center so i have access to lots of childrens toys. Among other things im doing a colorful child's xylophone.

And that was a great link. Im trying to put together a stock portfolio myself.
