Now a question about color.

I will be adding a castle-block wall around the columns (posts) and planting shrubs/plans/etc. Which color wall would look best? (see pic below for an idea of what I'm talking about)

The house is tan/beige color, the walk is Terra Cotta, and the pergola will be a dark red/rust color.

I was thinking a tan color, to match the house. Yay or nay?

It's looking really nice, Ant.

It's too damn early, what color are u talking about? Color of the stone blocks? If so, I'd go natural /beige stone.

yes, the landscaping blocks.

I was thinking beige also.

Sometimes I am just not good with color stuff, thus I seek y'alls advice.

Thanks! :)

Absolutely tan to match the house. That way it will look more a part of the house. You don't want to get too many colors going on in the additions, or they will look disjointed. They will LOOK like an afterthought. Tan is the way to go.

aap, you really need to stop all this gheigh shit and get yourself some manly things done.

next thing, you'll be writing about crying for no reason

What did pintoca write above? I can't see due to tears in my eyes.

You're quite the craftsman.

I used to be like that.... I gave up on doing any actual work long ago.

I'm far too lazy, and too pretty to be risking any type scratches and the such.

Working with wood (the tree type) is fun isn't it?

I am lazy too. I have dishes and laundry that haven't been done in a week because i've been working on this thing each evening.

btw, I'm so pretty I could sustain scratches and such and still be the best looking person ever.

To make this thread extra manly, we should discuss the flower selection.

That is another problem area for me. I have no clue about vegetation. I'll probably end up putting a couple plastic sunflowers in there, lol.

the pergola is looking good.

you're still ugly though.

yay! Lowes is running their tan blocks on sale this week.

What great timing!

p.s. The ugly store called, they're running out of you.

That is a pretty flower (not to sound :rainbow: )

Does it come back each year without replanting?
Yep, they keep coming back, and reproduce all over the place and take over. Which is pretty cool.

Disagree,

I would say go with that redish lighthouse color. You know how if you look at a lighthouse from far away it looks like it is red and white, but when you get close they color isn't really a red its more like a mauveish red. Go with that.
