Perfect physique ( no someone besides eddie robinson)

as usual i can' t pull of those pics. but strydom looked way better than robinson. how old are you? i think you needed to grow up in my era, i'm 30 now. you seem to like those guys from five years to a decade or more ago.

i love 80's bbers they had size but no roid gut they were big yet still looked good , robinson was a damn freak

True, its called roid gut but its GH growing the internals. Drag the shortcut to the ADDRESS bar to see the pic.

He did look good, and I agree, being huge may look comic superhero bitchin, but the gut is lame and ruins the physique IMO, it makes them look fat.

Paul Demayo was my favorite.

Yes the Dr is right on. The gh gut makes them just look like fat bastards. Thats why I admire current guys like Cormier, Flex, and even Levrone. The don't have the gut, yet... Give them a few months-years. lol. Super hero big is cool, but not if you look super fat. I remember seeing pics of Arnold, Lou, etc in the off season, they still had abs! Not super cut, but not porkers either, and no gh guts! It's getting out of hand.

I thought Arnold had a classic physique, not super ripped like todays guys of course, but he looked damn good, nice chest/waist ratio, no bulge. Even watching some footage of Titus when he relaxes, makes him look less than proportional in terms of his gut, even though he's not that 'big', hmm.

Serge I agree, he was the first freak, not that lean but looked damn good again, and big ass arms. Last pix I've seen of him during Arnie's 50th he was still big! Probably enjoys the test with whatever kind of sex life he has left :D

Yeah Arnold had the perfect body in my opinion. His legs were perfect. They made him look athletic, like he could do more than pose. He has a good shoulder to waist ratio, and the perfect amount of muscle. He was big, no doubt, but also like a piece of art work. He may not have been as cut as todays guys, but when they get down that low, and with the gh guts, it looks too unhealthy. It's hard to believe that this sport was once about health. Go figure....

Thats the most I can hope to achieve, I wouldn't mind having Demayo's triceps, but Arnold definately looked close to what I'd consider picture perfect, some people have the nerve to call him a pussy because he was so light compared to today's guys (I'd like to see thier builds), bitch about his bi/tri symetry whatever, I think he looked awesome from a genetic standpoint as well.

Tom Platz for instance, worked out hard as hell, but not a real BB build asthetically.

Yeah Platz may have been gifted in the legs, but he was a mess in my own opinion.

Arnold may have been lighter that todays guys, but I'm starting to wonder if more is better. You know another guy with a great body is Roland Kickenger. He looks almost like Arnolds twin. He is also from Austria and about 6'4 (slightly taller than Arnold). He didn't do too well as a pro, ESPN once rated him the most underrated athlete of the year (they rarely mention bodybuilders). He left the pro ranks a couple of years ago to go on Son of the Beach, he basically plays a comical version of Arnie. I aspire to look like that, or how Arnold was in his prime (very close, if not the same those two).

I've seen him on Son of the Beach yep, didn't know what he was up too, alot of guys get a raw deal but not everyone can be #1.

If I could look like Amp I'd be pretty fuckin happy, or Arnold etc, that is 'huge' in any sense of the word to a person on the street. That is a classic yet maintainable physique, and you'll give less people heart attacks when you walk by :) I really don't think I want to be a 400 pound dude anyway, I have other things to do in life too than be dependant on roids permanently (road racing, etc).

Slin may make you fat if your not carefull but it wont make your internal organs grow like that.

I know what you are talking about. That's what I aim for. I want to be huge, and different. But I think Arnold, Lou etc size is just big enough, and very different (people see guys walking around with just a six pack and think they are jacked!). As you have mentioned, it's also something you could keep up with, and not have to spend forever trying to upkeep. A light cycle a year could maintain that, maybe none at all.
