..why do guys do this? im just curious, it seems like it would do more harm than good. I see so many guys in the gym, some big and in good shape, and others not so big and in good shape, loading the bar up, bringing the bar down to their chest, and then arching so much to get the weight up their ass comes up off of the seat. is this a power lifting technique or just cheating so that they can think to themselves "thats right bitch, i just did that much weight!". The reason I bring it up is because I see more of the bigger, best built guys in my gym doing this, and I didn't know if this serves a purpose or not.
