People in Georgia are officially the dumbest in the US

Yeah, 3 young doctors (or med students) who happen to be three totally different ethnicities (Pakistani, Jordanian and Persian) just had their civil rights violated because the proud people of Georgia have some backwoods sloth (who might just represent the majority of people in the US) as a resident.

Good job, FBI. I am happy that you saved us from three doctors.

BTW- Here is the PERFECT example of PROPAGANDA by the US media. I read in two different sources (Fox & CNN) that bomb-sniffing dogs detected bomb materials in both of their cars. How is that for MISinformation.

Better safe than sorry in my book.

Also, it was a civilian who reported all this in the first place.

I have to agree with 2Thick here. Do you honestly think that a group of terrorists who were going to blow something up in Florida would be talking about it in a PUBLIC PLACE, in fucking ENGLISH, and make it so blatantly obvious so everyone else could hear it? You see all over the TV how our new and improved law enforcement techniques responded quickly, etc. Yes... I have to admit, I've never seen someone's rights violated so quickly. It's a sad day when one can be searched, detained, and have his time wasted for making a fucking joke.

Do I like the joke? No. Do I think any intelligent person would make such a joke? No, but "freedom of speech" isn't there to protect popular speech - it's there to protect UNPOPULAR speech, i.e. jokes about terrorist activities. Then again... we're talking about the same nation in which OVER HALF of its citizens think that they have too many rights.

This is true. Once again though, I would rather be safe than sorry.

2T, are you trying to tell us there is no threat from terrorism?

I agree with you there...But these could be the same type of people that come to our country and learn to fly planes in our flight schools to hijack planes in our country...Don't you think they would get their education else where instead from the place they were planning to attack? If our government was any smarter, they wouldve pickd up on the strangness of a bunch of foreign students with expired visa's trying to learn how to fly a plane where they could just as easily learned in their country. (it's not like they didnt have the resources to learn elsewhere)and It's not like they were super secrative about how they made their progress. It was easy as hell for the FBI to trace their steps...Even the one hijacker left some papers with all his plans in his rental car..

I agree with the jist of your post, but with this state of panic in the US, there is no reason why this would not have happened in any other state. There is nothing overly bad or good about Georgia over any other state. But it still is easy for us to talk about this in a tone of bewilderment, since we have the edge of hindsight.

OH, and I live in Georgia, too.

Hell, we have known for years that the people of Georgia were like that.:D

with all due respect, I don't think you can condemn an entire state because of the actions of some dumb douchebag. America is rife with idiots in every state. But there are just as many people with common sense also. It's not like everyone in that Shoney's reported those people as terrorists, it was just that dumb broad.
