Penn St. - Slow Reps..

Just curious what these are really called? I know in HS we called them penn state lifts, I've heard slow reps.. for example if you were doing a dumbell curl you'd do a 5 second count on the negative phase and maybe a 3 count on the way up.. whatever they're called they hurt like hell after a while but they're good for some serious muscle fatigue! :chomp:
 
some guy branded them 'superslow' once and it stuck... but those reps can go all the way up to 30 seconds on the negative

really 5 seconds isn't THAT slow.. IMO a negative should be 3 seconds anyway.. 5 seconds is a lot longer than most though yep
