Package/Delivery Question....Please Help...

Okay I never had to sign for any health supplements I got from Canada in the past. I've been waiting a while for my current order. 3 weeks as compared to the usual one week. Well, the Post Office left one of their little cards today saying that they came to deliver the package, but no one was home. That I can pick it up at the Post Office or they will attempt to re-deliver it tomorrow. They checked of the box that says "Delivery Confirmation". I contacted the supplement company to let them know and am awaiting response. This never happened before. I did receive a tracking number from the company when I placed my last order though. Never got one of those before. I don't like signing. Guess I'm eating this one? But what else should I do from here? Thanks.

I received some "Health Supplements" about 6 months ago and there was a not to come pick them up. I did and signed with no problem. What sucks is I think it all depends on the person making the delivery. If they feel uncomfortable leaving a package on the porch they might bring it back to the post office and then if you pick it up you need to show ID and sign for it.

If you can track a package, does that mean it would have to be signed for upon delivery?

if it's express, you might have to sign; the tracking can be airmail priority reg.

A good rule to follow is to not sign for anything unless you know it's legit or semi-legit (i.e. fina kits).

I have signed for mine many times and will continue to do so. It isn't like they will have the authorities camped out at the PO waiting for you to come sign for it. They don't have the man power or money for that type of stuff. Just go get it. If they want to bust you they would have pulled a warrant to go through the package and just come arrest you and not taken the chance that you would or wouldn't pick it up. I can only assume you aren't dealing or you wouldn't have ordered from Canada. Just go pick it up....and god forbid the cops were there, how could have possibly known what was inside the package? Just claim wrong address if it comes to that...they have no case. No worries bro.

Go on and pick it it up you should be aright. A controlled delivery is attempted
at your residence if you are there not in the Post Office with the postal employees. I signed for packages 2 times and nothing happened.

Nothing to worry about!

This happens quite often. For every package coming from another counry you might be asked to sign. It doesn't even matter if its Xpress Post or regular Air Mail. Its some kind of a rule USPS has (so does Canada Post). The majority of times they're too lazy to leave a note, hold on to your pack and waste everybody's time this way so they just leave the pack at your door.

The only situation where I would get concerned is when you have a package coming from inside the US with signature waived and you get asked to sign.

Alot of times you have to sign for mail..You state that its just supplements if thats the case dont worry about it otherwise I suggest not signing

they said will attempt delivery tomorrow right? just be home when they arive...or if u sign the slip and tape it to dorr they will leave package as well

LOL, do you know how many people have been busted outside the post office? Many.

The will most certainly wait at the post office if they decide to bust you.

Quit giving bad advice, did you just make up the idea that they wouldn't wait? It certainly wouldn't come from any research or from reading Rick Collins' book.

Since they hold packages for up to 2 weeks the authorities aren't going to stake the place out 10 hours a day for 12 days...now if you are dealing and the DEA gets involved that is a whole different story. If you read the original post he just got one thing sent from Canada.

So you decided to bomb me because your advice is bad and incomplete?

You don't know where this guy lives, how long the authorities would be willing to wait, or anything substantive enough to tell this guy to just "go ahead and get it" when it could result in him getting busted.

There are plenty of examples on the boards and in Legal Muscle where someone gets a note to sign for a pack at the PO and when they show up they get busted, in fact, its really rather common in ways they decide to bust people.

Again, I think you're an ass for bombing me when you are the one who is giving bullshit advice that could cause this guy to get himself busted thinking there's "no way they'll stake out the post office."

If its just a personal sized order, I personally would go pick it up. I did when my international pack didn't get delivered to my apt. Mainly cause its just so much easier for a lazy mailman to carry a tiny pink slip of paper as opposed to a box/big envelope. I'd go, and if they ask you to sign, just scribble, as long as they don't ask for ID. But I'd still look out for anything fishy, like them wanting you to wait for an extended period of time for them to 'look for it'. Like it was said, I HIGHLY doubt there will be anyone waiting there to bust you, unless you have a large amount of 'supplements' waiting for you. Wouldn't be worth it to bust someone for possession.

Relax. "Delivery confirmation" just means that the person paid for "delivery confirmation". . .you pay like $3 extra and they put one of those scan-able stickers on the package that has a bar code and they give the sender an account number that they can punch in on-line to check for delivery confirmation. . .that way they know that someone received it. . .in case you like try to say that you didn't receive it. . .hoping to get a freebie. You dig??

Great, another guy who has no fucking idea what he's talking about and just assumes that they won't bust for possession.

Why do you even post shit like this without any data to back it up?

You ought to realize that CDs have been performed for miniscule amounts of AAS

Don't just pull shit out of your ass and "assume" stuff when someone could be on the line legally.

People get busted for possession via mail asshat. Quit giving bad fucking advice people, you're causing harm.

One of the most common ways of setting up a bust is have them "sign for it at the Post Office;" a situation like this means he should be on guard.

Most likely it is ok....check the damn box that they will redeliver...they will redeliver tomorow...just be sure to be home...and see its the regular mail man.
IMO..not signing for a pack is much worse...then it gets thrown back.......the return addy is posibly false...then its may get thrown to the postal inspector for investigation.
Just my 002. Im not an expert.

True, its a tough spot either way.

What he needs to do is talk to his supplier to see whether the return addy is false, and whether the supplier sent it sig required.

Then make his own judgement

I live in an appartment and have to sign for the packages every time because they will never leave them for me even when I sign the slip and stick it to my mail box so I don't think twice, but if they never made you sign before and all of a sudden they want you to and your source diddnt pay for the confirmed delivery, I wouldnt pick it up. losing some " supps" is a small price to pay for freedom.

Fist of all, the shipper is an idiot to send a package that requires a signature. I have rec'd plenty of international packages that had tracking and DID NOT need to be signed for.

A suggestion: Have gear delivered to a business, hopefully one that has a daily influx of overnight pacakges, so your will just be mixed in the pile.

If you don't want to lose the gear, pick it up at the PO, then just leave the package sealed for a month in your house with "return to sender" written on it. If the law comes, say you have no idea who sent this, and you were going to bring it back to the PO for a return to sender. A bit paranoid, but at least it allows for deniable accountability.

Bluesman

If the package looks open don't sign but if not go for it. If it's something not legal then they got you anyhow. You are still in deep shit. Not signing isn't going to save you. If you just sign for it like it's a normal thing no suspicions will be raised.

The best place to hide from a cop is to sit on the hood of his car.

Digimon is correct on this. It is just priority mail and they scan the bar-code hand it to you and your on your way, no questions asked. :)

Signing stuff is not how they get people....in logical terms its going to look alot more suspicious if you deny a pack, and it gets oppened up by inspectors, if it were to that is. People recieve tons of stuff in the mail each day you know nothing about, including promotions, give aways, free-dvds. Its normal, anyone can send you anything in the mail.

This is my oppinion again im no expert. But i will try to get some from an expert otherwise no one will become any safer nor smarter as a result of this debate.

Most shit you get from another country has to go through customs...right??? so with this... if they knew what was in it then they would had kept it and sent you a sezuire letter. Its your call but I would get your suppliers take on it first

For the record Aristicrotle BC...is right in his post from yesterday. Rick Collins says so....he is a bit bussy to post at the moment but i had a quick chat with him and thats what he says. If Rick Says so its the case. Hes the expert.

Now my personal oppinion is that you should feel the situation, know your people, and the enviroment, also some experience..After a while you should have a pretty good idea what is normal and what is not. Most package signs are legit. Matters where you live also.

Remember to tip you rmailman for christmas so he does a good job and accomodates you. :)

jeez calm down man, it was just an opinion, and even knowing what you said, i'd still go pick up another pack at the post office if need be. Thats my choice and I didn't tell him to do anything, just said what I did.

Well my source hasn't gotten back to me in 2 days, which is very unlike him. He's always on the money. That also concerns me about the situation currently.

Chill out bro...i bet whoever he is he is bussy thats all.
Give it some time.

Also if you want secure email me with the info i will try to check into it!

So did the package get delivered or what? If so did they just leave it for you or did you sign anything? Hope it worked out for you Slyder!!

It's been like 48 hours and nothing. As I said, it's very unlike him. He's always been the man in every regard. Not angry or anyhting, concerned is more like it.

Finally heard back. Seems sometimes a signature may be required. That sound normal? He said don't sweat it, but to clean house just in case. still sittin here wonderin if I should sign or not.

How long did it take him to send it until you recieved notice that it had arrived?

Also, what was in it? (If you are comfortable saying.)

And do you live in a larger city or a small town?

These are all factors that while not predicting in any way the outcome, give evidence to one side or another.

ie, small towns more likely to pursue, bigger packs more likely to be busted, longer time means its more likely something happened as it takes a bit of time to set these things up often, but NOT always.

Took 3 weeks for delivery, but the holidays so slow things down I'm sure. Not a big order really. I'm thinkin Customs would've sent me letter if anything was was up?

Are you in a small or large city?

The smaller the order the better the chances of a customs letter, but it is no guarantee; there have been busts for really low amounts of gear. (A few amps and some dbol etc.)

I have signed for int'l orders shipped express, after signing, I write "return to sender" on the box, and leave it sit for a day or so...

You should not have to worry about international express mail orders. It is required to sign for them in order to get them. I have received 5 of them with no problem.
