Well my oxandrolone finally arrived this morning. I ordered Monday afternoon and it got here this morning so express is pretty quick. I also have to say that the packaging surprised me and it was rather ingeneous. I had planned on starting my cycle on a Monday but I figured I'd start today and get a 4 day head start so that maybe by Monday or so I might start noticing something.
Since this drug seems to be the topic of major discussion on this board I will be keeping detailed stats and logs of my cycle. A lot of people mention their ending results but give no mention of the type of diet, supplements, workouts, etc.. This morning I took down all of my measurements(ab skinfold, weight, bodyfat %, bodypart circumfrence, etc..) and I will be updating these measurements every 2 weeks until the end of the cycle. When someone says they gained 15lbs of muscle that is good, but when they say it made them gain 1.25" or their arms or 3" on their chest I think people can get a better idea of tangible results.
Here is a quick rundown of my basic stats and goals I wish to achieve. I have a 9 week supply and if all is well by week 3-4 I will get another 3 week supply to stretch it to a 12 week cycle. I ran low on funds or else I'd have gotten 12 weeks from the start
Anyways right now I weight 206 at about 12-13% bodyfat. I've been planning this cycle for months so the last 3-4 weeks I've stopped dieting and basically eaten pretty much what I want to get my metabolism back up to speed. I didn't want to start this cycle with a suppressed thyroid so I took precautions. I gained about 2lbs during these few weeks, some of which is probably water, maybe a little fat and probably some muscle as I've gotten stronger.
My goal in this cycle is not to bulk, but to get cut, hard and hopefully gain a few lbs of muscle to boot. I have a cruise coming up in October and I want to be in good shape. I could diet normally and probably hit a good low bodyfat % but I'd like some more muscle to show off. So going this route I hope to achieve both at the same time. I'd be happy dropping to 8% bodyfat while simultaneously putting on 10-15 lbs of muscle. I think it will be possible with a good diet, intense workouts and dedication. Perhaps I may even go past these goals, but I really believe that in 12 weeks I can achieve this. I may be able to drop my bodyfat that low in 8 weeks and then I may up my calories and try to speed up muscle gain.
So my plan is to use a moderate caloric deficit versus a radical one. My BRM is approximately 3000 calories so I'm going to drop my calories to 2600 to start. On top of workouts and some cardio it will drop even lower. I usually keep my settings for 2 weeks to gauge results. If I see good results I will not change, if I see too much or not enough loss I will make a change. My macronutrient ratios are going to be 50/35/15 pro/carb/fat. Keeping protein high during a cycle of this drug makes it more effective. I also want a good deal of carbs to help muscle building. You cannot low carb and expect to put on too much muscle as your body needs insulin. EFAs will form as much of the 15% fat as possible. Sources will be flax oil, natural peanut butter, olive oil and fish caps. Occasionally I'll have some steak but I want to keep EFA content high. I will also be having a controlled refeed on Sundays to keep leptin levels high and hopefully shuttle some extra nutrients into the muscle. I plan on keeping protein and fat intake per grams identical, but I will make up the rest of the calories of that day in carbs. I will shoot for a couple hundred calories above maintenance.
I'm going to workout 4 times per week, each bodypart twice. I usually do 1 bodypart per week but I wanted to up my volume a bit to ensure maximum stimulation for growth. Of course I do less total sets for these workouts than my normal amount when I work each muscle only once a week. I really want to hit my muscles at all angles and by doing each muscle twice a week and can vary my exercises greatly. I will be noting my strength increases as well which I hope to see some big changes in.
I will be taking creatine on my 2nd week. I contemplated taking it now but since I've been off my diet for a month I really wanted my water levels to stabilize. I expect to lose 4-5 lbs of water alone this first week so creatine would throw off this estimation. By allowing my hydration level to stablize I can see how much of a difference my creatine will make. I'm also taking milk thistle and drinking a lot of water. I also plan on getting that Tyler liver detox kit as soon as I can to help out.
Also I'll be taking 40mg daily. On workout days I will split the dosage in 2 so that I get a fresh supply about an hour or 2 before my workout. The halflife of this drug is 8 hours so by the time I do my evening workout it's already at half dosage. By splitting the dosage I should have more in my system after my workout when protein synthesis is peaking. On off days I will simply take all of it in the morning. Im not worried about HPTA shutdown and if I notice my nuts get smaller I'll get some clomid to be safe. I doubt I'll have a problem.
So there you have it, my plan. Like I said I'll be doing updates every 2 weeks and hopefully by my first 2 weeks I'll have some good news. I'm also taking pictures every 2 weeks to go along with my updates. I expect my weight won't change much due to muscle gain and fat loss occurring simultaneously, so pictures will tell a better story. I took some this morning as my before pics.
Anyways sorry for the long post, I just wanted to let everyone know how I plan on achieving my goals and what my final results will be. I hope this will help others make choices about this drug as well as decide on diet and training protocols. I did do my first workout today about an hour after my first dosage. I also crushed them in my mouth to ensure proper breakdown. Can't say I feel any different yet(obviously
), however I did get an incredible pump in the gym today. It could just be because I was so stoked I worked my ass off. Either way I am one happy man as I know good results are not far off.
If you have any comments please offer them. I am always open to new ideas though I think I have everything covered.
