Owned by the stuff you own

Correct me if I'm wrong. If you make a claim while under insurance "X" then even if latter you switch to insurance "Y" they'll increase your premium since they share files.

If you have a "fault loss" and then try to switch insurance companies the new company will know and you'll still pay a higher rate.

Does it help to be tight when you know its for a car you adore or when you are with one foot in your grave and the other on land if you claim to be wealthy?

Being economic Hiatussin is having one car no more if you REALLY want to be economic. ;)
By your logic anyone who can afford to, should stop working. after all why be tight or work hard when you won´t spend all your money before death?

What about simply wanting the best for the business you´re in?
What about founding a dynasty?
What about setting a precedent for your kids?

I´m exaggerating your statement a little but I will still use it to rant my rant.

This is where the word "snob" came from. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snob - "sine nobilitate", people of no nobility, nouveau riche, from the time when non nobles first got rich. They don´t have a history and don´t think about their family´s future. That way they can afford to buy all sorts of devaluating showwy crap that makes them feel higher, but they´re fooling themselves.

This is so typical of when people chastise the super rich, for being tight, or working too hard. They say- he could live in idle decadence till the end of his days, and his kids too.

This is why those people will never reach such a point. Because being idle and decadent/arrogant is what they really want. How many super rich people are there that go around pissing in peoples faces over it? Paris Hilton maybe... 99.9% don´t. Although a big part of people WOULD, if they had that money. Those who have the brains, guts and work ethic to get there are of another personality. This is part of the intrinsical morality of the free market :)

Now of course there is the big, evil, rotten, demonic, cursed death tax law. You can evade it if you´re clever and start planning early enough though.

LOL. God I have something to live up to with these views.

I am talking about people who are already rich.

I know millionaires ($ 200 mills and others) who still buy their clothes at op shops .50 cents a shirt and are in their 70s and work like there is no end to their life. lol
disgusting isnt it. i know very rich people (fine...only in the teens of millions) who complain about prices of softdrinks at servos

its like...shut up you idiot, you were too slack to pick up taht easy money 50K job that would have taken you 3 phonecalls, and youre ranting about a $2.60 coke? *bitchslap*

What about the people who drive the most expensive cars and get a $50 parking fine and complaint about the price of the fine. I have met many like that. :lmao:

Why should your spendings be directly proportional to your earnings anyway?

i didnt say they should. however, your complaints should be inversely proportional to the impact on your overall wealth :)

But they drive those cars & park them as if they have title to the roads, parking lots, sidewalks, etc.

I think was Malcolm Forbes, still drove an F-150 to his end.
Wasteful frugality, like bitching about the price of Soda, I actually understand. What I really admire about rich folks, is when you hear about someone donating money to a specific target to bypass beurocracy. Like contracting some planes, or trucks to move materiel into a disaster zone.
