Overpowering body part?

Little Rage

New member
I've always had rather large shoulders, and within the past 5+ years they have really been dominating my body. So i've taken two weeks off during my current cycle from training them... does anyone see a problem in doing this or continuing to do this? I’m looking to become more proportional and I feel if I continue training them, the rest of my body will never catch up.

I see no problem doing that at all. I find my arms have always been lagging behind and my legs have always been overpowering. When "on" I train arms twice a week and go heavy on legs one week and light with high reps the other to try and balance it out.

you have to do it, my delts have always been big, my arms were twigs.

I started prioritizing my arms and they blew up and I look much more proportional. Symmetry is very important and very underrated

Yup, most ppl have bodyparts that grow easily. To have a great body though everything has to be in proportion not just as big as possible with no thought paid to aesthetics.

Thats what I did, my back was huge and my chest was saggy so i decided not to work as much my back meaning NOT stopping from training them but not putting much time on them and did more time on my chest and so far i got them pretty even now.

i think u can definitely stop heavy shoulder workouts. anyway ur shoulders come in to play in other lifts. if u want to, maybe u could just do light shoulder workouts.

It is called prioritizing

Of course. Spend more time on your weaker parts and less on those that don't need it. It is common sense.
